What a great point, and a great way of putting it!
We can't let this opportunity slide. I'd like to see calls from Republican reps and senators for a full-scale PUBLIC inquiry into Berger's misdeeds.
If he is actually guilty of stealing documents related to national security and, say, passing them on to Senator Kerry or destroying them altogether, we may have a Watergate-like hit on our hands. This needs to played up to the MAX.

It wasn't that long ago that the Democrats were bragging about how they were going to roast Condi at the 9-11 Committee hearings. Wow, how quickly things change...

If Condi Rice had been caught stuffing her blouse...What would be happening?Simple answer.........24/7 up to and including the GOP convention there would be NEGATIVE coverage, with calls by every Newspaper and the entire MSM, for an IC, and for a House/Senate select committee to INVESTIGATE her every move. Wall to wall coverage of what did she do and when did she do it? Was she following orders from the POTUS? Who told her to do it and when........blah blah blah.
Definitely would be a MONUMENTAL story if it were ANY Republican not just Condi.

too bad we'll only hear about this inquiry (if there is one) on FOXNEWS... I keep seeing posts like this -- as if Fox News wasn't the number one cable news organization by a country mile. The word IS getting out -- on Fox and elsewhere.

One thing that would decidedly NOT be happening would be the
New York Times burying the article deep in the paper. Nor would the
Slimes only report the accused's
lawyers spin on what occurred, so inadvertently and innocently (of course!). Also, I would expect to see some mention of he words "pants" and "socks" in relation to how the documents were removed, unlike their coverage of Berger, which made it seem as though he placed them all carefully in a leather binder for safekeeping, but neglected to return them before leaving for the night.
Let's face it, if a Republican - any Republican - were accused of the same offense, the Liberal media would be on them, 24/7.

How do I get to the full article? That link doesn't seem to work for me, although I strongly suspect user error.

Yep. Also, "What did Bush know and when did he know it?"
To: andy58-in-nh
If this were a Rep, it would lead the CBS Evening News, e.g., "The news that President Bush's National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice illegally removed secret documents from the National Archives raises new questions about what the Bush administration knew prior to the 9-11 attack on America, and whether the administration deliberately tried to withhold damning information from congressional investigators. Already, prominent Democrats are urging the creation of a special counsel to investigate the matter, and Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle called today's revelations "profoundly disturbing." Bob Schieffer reports from Washington . . . " And so forth . . .
