Something to Yak About – Gears Grind to Halt in Great Democrat Disinformation Machine
How many times have we heard various and sundry members of John Kerry’s Coalition of the Wild-Eyed level baseless charges about the president and other people in the administration not being straight about intelligence on Iraq? Now, official non-partisan reports on both sides of the Atlantic show that all use of intelligence by the Bush administration and Tony Blair’s UK government totally did the right thing all along! The Wall Street Journal also noted, “The political goal was to portray the President as a ‘liar,’ regardless of the facts. Now that we know those facts, Americans can decide who the real liars are.” Couldn’t have said it better.

The Real Dishonesty
While John Kerry and the rest of his Wild Eyed coalition were in a Bush Bashing Frenzy based on a bogus premise regarding pre-war intelligence, they forgot one critical item. They didn’t check their own facts before engaging in their coordinated smear campaign. Not smart, folks.

More Iraq Intel Duplicity From Kerry
John Kerry loves to bash away on President Bush and the administration about Iraqi intelligence but now, a Kerry aide admits Kerry didn’t bother to read National Intelligence Estimates before voting on whether to authorize military action!

“Mike Synan came to WDBO looking for an internship, but he didn't get it. He got offered a job instead. Mike started in 1997 as a producer for the weekend overnight programs. Mike has had a gift for radio ever since he attended college at Clemson University in South Carolina where he got a degree in political science.” (SOURCE: WDBO/Orlando)

The Final Yak
“John Kerry doesn't believe we are engaged in a War on Terror. In an interview with the New York Times, John Kerry balked at calling the War on Terror an actual war, saying he was uncomfortable using that term. Unfortunately, Osama bin Laden is very comfortable using that term, having five times declared war on the United States.” (SOURCE: RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie, June 29 remarks delivered in Eugene, Oregon)

They didn’t check their own facts before engaging in their coordinated smear campaign.

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. To the Left, the facts are unimportant. Their goal was to smear the President and they had no intention of letting the truth stand in their way. Thanks to their partners in the media, they accomplished their goal. The damage will be much harder to undo, particularly since the media co-conspirators will never give equally prominent coverage to these reports exonerating the President.

"all use of intelligence by the Bush administration and Tony Blair’s UK government totally did the right thing all along!"

Only someone with a marshmallow for a brain would doubt this and not suspect where the disinformation originated. Sheesh!

The media for the most part won't acknowledge truth and why should they? If they are in the same cage with a beast at the zoo throwing "stuff" at someone, some sticks. They just report because they lie down with the beast.

Can someone PLEASE tell me why a group of "rich" conservatives, since we seem to have more money than the libs, doesn't get a coalition together and allow conservatives to invest in it and gather together about 4.5-5 billion dollars and buy NBC from GE?

Why NBC? Viacom owns CBS. Viacom is a media/entertainment company. CBS fits in their core business. ABC is owned by Disney. Disney is a media/entertainment company. NBC is owned by GE. GE is a manufacturing/communications/investment business. Where does entertainment fit into their core business? It doesn't. So, it would be an easier target than the others.

What would be good? Strip out the core liberal brass/talking heads at NBC. Hire objective and independant people to report. To actually do news stories with a taste for NEWS. Not trying to get the position of head liberal talker. Keep some libs, and hire some conservatives (and keep their only current one, Scarborough). Dump perky Katie Commie and Tom Brokejaw. Bring a lineup of more family oriented shows. For those who like the drek they are pushing today, create a new cable channel called NBC Uncensored. It can have Law & Order Uncensored, Extreme Fear Factor and several others and be the highest rated cable network ever.

What about it?

Paul

"Rich Conservatives"
Hmmm I love that thought, I have a bunch of guys i discuss politics with and since they are libs they like to bring up that term, Rich Republicans or something like that. one day i got sick and tired of the attack on a monetary scale and led them all out into the parking lot where I asked them to pick out the liberal's car and the conservative's car. My 90 POS got picked out right away along with the nice new ford explorer parked along side it. I came clean to the fact that i had the ugliest junkiest car in the lot and sheepishly the prime liberal voice in the group announced it was his Explorer. After that, they stopped using the term Rich Republican. Sorry about the rant, i just liked the story.

Anyone who has been interviewed for a story in a major media outlet of the US, will tell you that the printed story in no way matches what actually was stated in the interview. I was once phone interviewed for a non-political story and what was printed about that interview was just flat out false. It is best to assume that everything you read and everything you see has been 'modified' for your consumption.

You Know friend, you've got some good ideas here.On regular/non-cable channels Fox is pretty much pap so we don't have anyone good to hurt.Dang straight fullisade of Law and Order and other thoughtful material could fill up a day no problem since SO MUCH HAS BEEN EXCLUDED..but then.. it's much easier to bomb myself out instead of really investing myself in anymore than I already did.More info? perhaps.

Curious. Most flippin curious in that these are suppossed to be impartial reporters of the news.Evident.Very evident they've been working to an agenda. That is not to say they are not working. I respect them very much, just at the end of the day or tour some editor has his/her "way" with things and that unfortunately taints the picture. Over short time the facade fades truth comes out at the rate the reporters' credentials die.

What appears on the pages of a newspaper and what appears on the boob tube 'newscasts' is simply entertainment. Contrived and manufactured for a targeted audience. Modern day reporters have learned how to lie without making themselves legally accountable. They have fashioned lots of neat tricks over the years. The trick they pulled on me was fashioning a false quote without actually quoting me. The uninformed reader would have thought it was a direct quote. Heck, if lying is out of control in the court rooms of this country, one can assume it is also out of control in the major media outlets. Michael Moores lies may have affected the recent Canadian elections. Should he be held accountable ?
