Michael Moore, Hezbollah Heartthrob

"Fahrenheit 9/11" is making mega-bucks in American theaters and — with some help from terrorists who also are Michael Moore fans — it could prove a blockbuster in the Middle East too.

The film industry publication Screendaily.com reports that the movie will soon debut in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.

“In terms of marketing,” Screendaily.com announces, Mr. Moore “is getting a boost from organizations related to Hezbollah.”

Yes, that Hezbollah: the Syrian- and Iranian-backed terrorist group that pioneered suicide bombings against Americans more than 20 years ago in Beirut, the terrorist group second only to al Qaeda in number of Americans murdered, the terrorist group that now operates against the US in Iraq, the terrorist group Richard Armitage, deputy secretary of state, dubbed the "A-Team of terrorists" — more skilled and cunning than almost any other.

“We can't go against these organizations,” explains Gianluca Chacra, the managing director of Front Row Entertainment, the UAE-based firm releasing Moore's flick in the Middle East.

Mr. Chacra added: “Having the support of such an entity in Lebanon is quite significant for that market and not at all controversial. I think it's quite natural.”

Yes, of course. And it's not as if Mr. Moore's views of America differ dramatically from those of Hezbollah. If you think I exaggerate, look at the two statements below. One is from Mr. Moore, the other from Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Guess which belongs to the Hollywood celebrity and which to the mass murderer.  (The answer is at the end of this column*.)

“The U.S. government started the war with Iraq in order to make it easy for U.S. corporations to do business in other countries. They intend to use cheap labor in those countries, which will make Americans rich.”

“This is the war of a despotic, arrogant, and cruel country against the nations of the world.”

This sonofabitch is causing more hate for our country. More Americans are going to die because of him.

Two things about this are fascinating.

The first is that Moore is an avowed opponent of making money at any cost. If teaming up with Hizbullah to make a few extra bucks isn't selling out your principles, I don't know what is. Hypocracy on this kind of a scale is disturbing.

Unless it's not hypocracy. Moore says that this is an anti-Bush film. However, if he only wanted to use the film to bring down Bush, he's merely have it shown in America, where American voters are. Showing it in the Middle East, where it will literally become required viewing in some circles, is pouring gas onto burning houses. Even the staunchest anti Bush / pro American person could see that.

However, if Moore has in fact come to hate America as deeply as he hates Bush, then it all makes perfect sense. The political discourse in the Arab world is just starting to rise out of the primordial soup, and here comes Moore with a 'documentary' that basically states that America, and its government, are nothing special, and in fact just as evil and corrupt as any Middle Eastern tyranny.

This movie has fooled free men in America, it no doubt will sway everyone it touches in Syria. That is a disservice to people who are truly oppressed. And the man who's profiting off their misery? You guessed it.

If Moore is receiving money from terrorists, he is aiding and abetting terrorism. Freeze and seize his accounts, arrest him and give him a trip to Gitmo!

I predict that this Moore frenzy will back-fire on the John-Johns eventually. If the terrorists line Moore's pockets enough, the John-Johns may be forced to disavow Moore and his movie. Heheheh.

If this guy is receiving money from the terrorists, etc.; he should be tried for treason.

Michael Moore has been selling antiAmericanism abroad for years. His last tv show was financed in England (and later rerun in America). His last 2 movies have been funded by Canada. His book and video covers have red-white-and-blue stars-and-stripes on the foreign editions.

Michael Moore is an Anti-American. His US fans are too stupid to realize this (the rest of the world loves to see him trashing this nation).

Moore is a turgid, steaming pile of walrus dung.
If he is delusional, he needs his dosage increased. If he is rational, he needs to be hanged as a traitor.
