A Deceived, Disappointed Democrat Who Hated This
Yahoo Movies ^ | 25th of june 04 | A Democrat (orchardadvisors)

Posted on 07/03/2004 3:00:14 AM PDT by F14 Pilot

I am a Democrat who voted for Al Gore, so I actually was expecting to like this movie. However, I left it feeling sick that Hollywood has descended to this depth of purely bad propoganda-driven movie making.

I am ashamed at the total sensationalism of this movie that seems to be based not on fact, but on conjecture, speculation, and rumor.

How dare Michael Moore deceive the public into thinking this is anything remotely resembling a documentary? Nothing seems supported by fact.

I expected to learn something, but actually left feeling deceived.

Moore actually ended up making an anti-american movie that should turn more people against John Kerry, rather than against Bush. As I said, I'm a Democrat, but considering the unfair viscious attack on our President (like him or not) during a time of War (whether for it or against), Moore's movie is totally irresponsible, not to mention just pure BAD FILMAKING.

I was searching in Yahoo website and found this. I think it is good to know that some democrats also believe this Moore is an enemy to this country and nation. Ah, you can also go to the web link provided above and score his movie. I scored F which means "The Worst All The Time". This Moore is a simple liar.

My belief is that Moore's film and Bush attack ads that are scheduled later this summer will turn more people away from the Kerry camp than bring aboard. This type of Bush bashing is mean spirited in the extreme, trite, and transparent. The vitriol of the leftist propaganda will turn away the fence sitters by the tens of thousands.

While I certainly agree, there is the cupidity & stupidity factor to contend with:

I miss Bill Clinton’s optimism, empathy [Lament of a female, Oregon babyboomer]  Terrorism on our own shores awoke us from a dream, and now we live with uncertainty about our planes, shopping malls, football stadiums and drinking water. Thanks mostly to the man you are praising here, you utter dingbat.

Perhaps this Democrat finally learned something.

I'd be really embarrassed to think that I could be influenced, right or left, by a movie.

I have a heck of a lot more pride and brainpower than to watch images on a movie screen and then be swayed either way.

If you can't think critically, you become just another pawn and that is what Michael Moore has done, create pawns who are unable to think.

It makes me angry when I know that someone is appealing to me, right or left, on an emotional level rather than intellectual one.

As for those who see this movie and are ready to run out and burn President Bush in effigy (or otherwise), I am sorry for you.

Pawns litter the soil of history.

When less is Moore, the leftist way.

They never have anything to offer in the way of productive, positive solutions. Braying and b*tching is the lefts mantra. It always has been and always will be.

How dare Michael Moore deceive the public into thinking this is anything remotely resembling a documentary?

The fact that there are people who are so easily deceived is far sadder and speaks volumes about the nation’s direction.

I once believed that people who lacked the ability to think clearly were the result of the severely diminished liberal public education system and that may still be a part of it. However, for the most part, I think the main reason is simply human nature and is expressed well in Bertrand Russell's observation. Please give this quote considerable consideration.

"If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence."
