Mermelstein is not too common a name is it?

Wonder if he's kin to Max Mermelstein....a notorious figure from the South Florida cocaine cowboy days in the 80s.

Mermelstein is not too common a name is it? Wonder if he's kin to Max Mermelstein....

I've personally known a few Mermelsteins, so the name isn't ultra-uncommon.

I wonder what happened to the guy? (I Googled his name, and this old thread came up). His last "Ask the Rabbi" installment was back in Dec. of '05.
