Good for Mr. Bradbury if he's pissed about more than just the title. Maybe if the title was use for something along the lines of the spirit or content of the book he would have been happier. Seeing as he is most likely and anti-communist it probably pisses him off to see a Socialist Piss Ant like Moore use his book's title.

Fahrenheit: The temperature at which air is ignited or something like that.

Fahrenheit 451 is the temparature in which paper burns. His book was about a future when books are banned. The main character is a fireman, who in this future is not a person who puts out fires, but finds illegal books and burns them. The book should be on everyones reading list.

The interviewer kept trying to get Mr. Bradbury to say that his book was a political commentary. Mr. Bradbury was insistent that his book was not a political commentary but was a criticism of the influence of mass media on our society.

Succinct conclusion.

He should demand all proceeds from the movie. . .but since he's a lying' liberal too, he'll probably allow the big fat creep to keep his mockumentary $'s and produce some other vitriolic fiction. How can we fight back? The converted are the only ones rushing out to buy tickets but they're enough to bankroll MM's next piece of garbage.

Sorry, Mr. Bradbury, but your idea was needed to advance the liberal cause. Therefore... you're s-o-l. Too bad your idea wasn't stolen by a conservative. Then your case would be trumpeted on the cover of every news outlet in the world. Oh well.

Has anyone noticed how the lefties, who claim to be the only creative people on earth, can only come up with names like "Fahrenheit 9-11" and "The O'Franken Factor"? In other words, they can only play intellectual catch-up with the right?

What does that tell you about who is winning this race and who is loosing?

Al Franken & Big Mac Moore are so simple-minded they can't even come up with original titles for their crap.

Moore should be sued. He had no regard for the real author.

For some reason I have never understood, book titles cannot be copyrighted.

I'm guessing it is because of the usual brevity of titles. I imagine if Bradbury had spent the $1000 or so to trademark his title he would have had a much better case. Trademarks are often quite brief, as short as a few characters.

It was also made into a movie quite a while back... (Fahrenheit 451).

Ray Bradbury was quoted elsewhere as saying that Michael Moore is "a horrible person" and "a screwed a@@hole".

Where do you get the notion that Ray Bradbury is a liberal? He shelters his politics mostly but he's somewhere between being a conservative and a libertarian. The left does not like Mr. Bradbury's politics.

On some forums, the left insists that Mr. Bradbury should accept Mr. Moore's theft, that he should lie back and take it (maybe put some ice on that).

I read Fahrenheit 451 a long time ago. Mikey Moore's pile of bovine excrement is an obvious ripoff of the book.

I'd like to see it and pick it apart, but I will not spend any money supporting the biggest disgrace to ever come from my state.
