"U.S. supporters gather in front of the City Hall to stand behind President Bush and his commitment in rebuilding Iraq, Friday, June 25, 2004, in Seoul, South Korea. South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun reaffirmed his resolution Friday to join global efforts to fight terrorism with a dispatch of more than 3,000 additional troops to northern Iraq to help rebuild the country despite the recent murder of a South Korean by Iraqi militants. I would have NEVER thought Yahoo News (from AP News) was possible of putting up such a photo. Incredible.

Amazing. Not that pro-USA Koreans turned out, but that a major media outlet actually covered it. They never fail to cover the anti-USA demonstrations in Korea (as they want the USA to lose at everything, if possible).

Freepers, who know US military personnel in Iraq or have some website or other way to get the word to the troops, please feel free to copy and pass on (crediting the photo owner, of course). It should go to many, many servicepeople on the ground over there, IMHO.
Michael Moore CAN be countered, worldwide!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time go go on the offense and not on the reactionary defensive.

Wise South Koreans know that America is their best friend. Thirty-seven thousand of our troops defending the border with North Korea is proof enough.

They have made a fitting observance of our previous support for S. Korea. They have done it in a timely way!

South Korean military vehicles stand in line before shipment to Iraq (news - web sites) at a port in Pusan, about 420 km (262 miles) southeast of Seoul June 25, 2004. Militants decapitated 33-year-old South Korean Kim Sun-il in Iraq after Seoul rejected their demands to pull 670 South Korean medics and engineers out of Iraq and drop plans to send 3,000 troops. God bless them - this is wonderful. Unfortunately, we'll never see it on CNN.

Is it just me, or is there a noticable absence of the 20-something crowd in those photos? These people are old enough to have some perspective on world affairs. This is wonderful to see.
How many are estimated to have participated in this show of support?

You are perceptive. You are right on the mark.
While there are South Korean young people at these pro-US events, they are demonstrably in the minority. Most of these people are over 40, know communism and support the USA. A number of them are rather aging, and passing from the scene.
If you want to see YOUNG SOUTH KOREAN PEOPLE (and a lot of dupes at that) you go over to the ANTI-US demonstrations in Seoul:

A real generation gap. The younger Korean generation are getting spoiled rotten, and are as naive is puppies walking up to a hungry leopard, IMHO.
