Felons Paid in Democratic Voter Registration Drive

A Democratic group crucial to John Kerry's presidential campaign has paid felons - some convicted of sex offenses, assault and burglary - to conduct door-to-door voter registration drives in at least three election swing states.

America Coming Together, contending that convicted criminals deserve a second chance in society, employs felons as voter canvassers in major metropolitan areas in Missouri, Florida, Ohio and perhaps in other states among the 17 it is targeting in its drive. Some lived in halfway houses, and at least four returned to prison.

And these felons now have social security numbers of the houses they have visited. Lovely.

Here in MA, you don't have to give a social security number to register. You don't even have to offer proof of citizenship.

The form doesn't even ask if you are a citizen. Instead, buried in a tiny print paragraph just above your signature, it says by signing the form you certify that you are a US citizen.

When I went to get my license renewed, I was offered the chance to register -- even though I already am registered. I asked to see the form, and was amazed that the lady did not ask if I was a citizen and that the form does not ask it either. If you weren't looking for it, you would never see the line about certifying that you are a citizen.

It is too bad SNL is so obtusly blind and partisan. These Kerry blunders would be gold for a sketch.

SNL should hire paul shanklin or Rush.

This was in the newsticker on the ABC Good Morning America 6/24/04. No real coverage, and the ticker kept getting stuck, reccyling the same couple of headlines. I doubt that any real coverage will be seen, because it casts an appropriately bad light on the Kerry campaign.
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent

I heard about this on Fox and Friends this morning, and didn't blink an eye. Par for the course for Soros and Company. I'm sure all the other news networks will be all over this story. Yep.

BUMP!

Telling that most felons are registered Democrats, isn't it?

Isn't it funny that most elected Democrats are themselves felons?
