Try reading the thread title, then maybe you'll understand what I'm skeptical about. Everybody else on the thread knew what I was talking about. If it has to be put in black and white for you:

I'm skeptical of the Saudis' claim that Johnson's killer is dead, how he died, his identification, and that they killed him.

Is that clear enough for you now?

Yah, but how quickly the Saudis got THIS guy when they let the others escape merely shows they can crack down on these AQ creeps any time they want to. It's time to start playing hard cajones with the Saudis.

they should release the terrorist prisoners from their prisons now. HEADS FIRST!

Hmmm. Not a bad idea 'tall. If a hostage taker calls for your release, you're treated with the same fate as the hostage.

Release the hostage and we won't kill everyone you want released!

Now THAT's a plan.

Do not watch MSNBC. Email their sponsors and tell them you will not watch MSNBC because of their liberal bent. Email mutual funds managers whose funds hold shares of sponsor stock and tell them you will not buy products from those companies and why.

I guarantee you a campaign like that will yield a new "dynamic editorial direction" from MSNBC.

If the terrorists have the tracking system, those kidnap targets would be sitting ducks.

Excellent point! That's why, thankfully, I don't post my "bright ideas" too often...

The retribution should be to empty the Saudi prisons of all al-qaida prisoners head first- followed 20 feet behind by the rest of them. No prisoners to release, no hostage negotiations with the devil.

Gee, that was a quick I.D. Pardon me if I'm a little skeptical over all this crap.

It is curious that they found him so fast. But here's one scenario that might have worked: continuous overhead photography. Suppose they had a large area under surveillance, but couldn't pin down the exact location in advance. Once the body was found, they could track the photos backwards from that time to observe who and what left that area, then go forward again with the photos to get more info on those leaving the site of the murder. It doesn't seem too far-fetched to me, and I think the timing would be about right,

>>We will meet this Islamofacist threat with military strength and political will. We will kill the people who are trying to kill us. We will not be pacifist losers. We will stand and fight. And win<<

Thank you!

Johnson's killer is a mindset that believes in The Sacred Muslim Practice of Beheading, and that is a long way from ending.

So I guess we will have a tit for tat until there are no more people who have that mindset and there are no more people to behead.....unless someone has a better idea.

I knew something was up when the Saudi spokesman began his press conference by saying "I just heard it on the radio; the bad guys are being pursued as we speak."

This stinks to high heaven.. They grab a guy off the street, kill him, and label him a high ranking AQ operative. "We even caught him in the act of disposing the body." Yeah right. I mean, why in the hell would the terrorists need to transport the body?!?! Logically, the assassins killed Johnson, popped the video tape out, and fled their hiding spot. You'll never convince me that they felt it necessary to take the body out in public to dispose of it. Horse crap.

Laurie Mylroie, a scholar who says these men had fake IDs & are not who they appear to be. She ties them to a Clan in Iran, near the Iraqi border, who helped out Saddam against Iran

I'm going to check this our too, but I heard different. I can't recall all the Arab names, but the going theory is that Al Qaida is an offshoot of the Egyptian Moslem Brothers. Ben Laden joined this group early on, met Zawahire, and transformed the Brothers into a military organization during the Afghan war. They really went ballistic after Sadam invaded Kuwait and the Saudis turned to us, rather than the mujahadin, for protection. Ben Laden was p.o.'d to have infidels in the holy land; he began his terrorism to bring down the Saudis. Technically, I don't think Ben Laden is Arab either. I think his father was from Kuwait. It's all murky as camel dung, but I wouldn't put too much on the Saudi implications.
