Unconfirmed reports by multiple posters on multiple Arabic language message boards claim that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has died.
The reports indicate that Mubarak's health took a turn for the worse late last night, and he was rushed to a Cairo hospital. According to the report, the Egyptian government is expected to not release news of the death until an orderly succession can be ensured.

This would be bad news; hope it's not true.

Could have been a Heart attack , A Stroke or "Lead Poisoning".

Reports of his death have been greatly overstated.
Reportedly he met with Tenet today (that is Wednesday in Egypt).. I doubt this is true..
Oh boy, that would be serious. I know he has been grooming his son and I've heard his son is very intelligent and capable, but with the Islamist problem there in Egypt he's going to have to be very, very strong.....if this is true.

I just had a horrible, tinfoily thought. If Mubarak is okay, hopefully, then I hope this rumor isn't a signal for something else.
Since we like DEBKA so much around here: Reuters and the AP seem to confirm this story about Tenet and Mubarak meeting today.
