The leftist media has been claiming that Reagan "changed" his stance on nuclear arms and US-Soviet relations in the late 1980s. This is a lie.

Reagan's strategy all along was to build up our defenses and bring the Soviet Union to its knees - at which point they'd have little choice but to come to terms.

This is exactly what happened.

Meanwhile, leftist quislings at home tried to undermine Reagan and even conspire with the Soviet Union by calling for unilateral freezes, which would have locked in the Soviet Union's strategic advantages over the United States. The Soviet Union would have had no incentive to change, and the world would have been a far more dangerous place.

I assume most of you already know this, but I also realize that some of you are too young to remember what went on during the Reagan era. Bottom line: Don't believe the leftist revisionist lies! Reagan did not 'change' when he began meeting with Gorby. It was all a part of his grand strategy for peace and for winning the Cold War.

The leftist traitors know that history has proven them wrong, so their only hope is to engage in revisionism. Don't let them!

WASHINGTON, April 19 -- President Reagan today renewed his invitation to Leonid I. Brezhnev to meet with him in June at the United Nations. Mr. Reagan said that such a meeting would not preclude a summit conference at a later date, as proposed Saturday by the Soviet leader.

Peace through strength is the way Reagan described it on many occasions. The stupid left just couldn't seem to understand that simple but salient point.
