And we all know such a high-minded guy like Michael Moore is so above that.
More likely he made a calculated decision that releasing it too soon wouldn't help publicize his movie enough. What a self-inflated egomaniac.
So much for principle, eh Mr. Moore?
Where is a good myocardial infarction when you need it?
Pig.
Nobody "broke" this story. It was reported by the military months ago. This is just more liberal nonsense.
Additionally, I have to wonder how many of Michael Moore's "insider" cameramen actually perpetrated abuse just to tarnish the military. After all, some members of England's military deliberately hoaxed some "abuse" photos and had them run in the Daily Mirror. There is not much of a stretch between posing for such photos with fake prisoners to actually abusing prisoners to create such photos.
Proof that moore did not consider it serious and proof that moore was "gluttoning" the footage to boost his own movie. Perhaps he though if he was first he would be able to cause a stir. Now the underwear on the head is old news.
I would like to see the Geneva manual that says be force to watch a not ugly woman having sex with a man is torture...
Michael Moore=Buffoon.
Good to see this story getting legs. Similar post here:

I haven't been following this. How did Moore get the footage in the first place? Did he participate in the partying at Abu Ghraib?
"instead of releasing the evidence earlier when it might have helped halt such abuse"
Proving once again that the left does not really care about the "Civil Rights" of the detainees, they only care about how they can use the situation to damage the President and the Military.
The fake outrage and manufactured compassion makes me sick.
this fat pig is trying to make believe he's an American.....it won't work
There is another side to this which indicates the soldiers involved were not exactly the brightest - they let someone film a documentary about their abuse.
Any footage Moore has could be forgery (i.e. filmed in Hollywood with actors playing the parts of the soldiers and the detainees). Someone needs to authenticate anything he claims.
Furthermore, if his footage shows "new" soldiers (other than those already facing court martial), it needs to be analyzed to identify the perpatrators so they can face justice.
"The situation is like Vietnam. The conditions in Iraq are just terrible, '' Moore said. "The soldiers know they are over there for a bull -- reason. .. . Bush has created an atmosphere for those who serve under him to also behave in immoral ways.''
Kerry & Moore are fighting Vietnam again (with a bunch of other people).
There is some evidence that Nick Berg might have been instrumental in getting that footage...
i want to see him on CSPAN being questioned about all this.
