This guy harrop has to be involved with the Kerry campaign with a flip-flop like this:

Other retired diplomats find Mr. Kiesling's outspokenness inappropriate.

"I certainly don't take exception to his resignation, but I would draw the line at promoting public opinion against the government or the war," says William Harrop, a former State Department inspector general and retired ambassador to several nations. "I believe it's a seriously wrong decision to invade Iraq, but it isn't appropriate to agitate as a former government official."-- Source: http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:0nlIyLVA_g0J:home.earthlink.net/~coalition4peace/GCFP%2520Archives/Old%2520News.htm+%22william+harrop%22+Saudi+arabia&hl=en

And what will be the ratio of coverage by the lamestream media between this anti-Bush press conference, compared to the Swift Boat commanders who came out against Kerry? Do you suppose 2 to 1 favor the anti-Bush group? 5 to 1? I'm guessing 10 to 1. Place your bets.

Admiral Crowe is a Clintonite -- came out for him against President Bush #41 in 1992 -- have zero respect for him or the rest for that matter.

I think VP Cheney had it correct - just like with Wilson and Clarke - "they were out of the loop". 'Nuff said!

I think 50:1 will be about right.

Front page, above the fold in LAT today. As if any anti-GW group that contained Stansfield Turner was news. What crap.

It was Crowe who wrote the letter getting Clinton out of the draft by getting him into the ROTC, then the stinking goober back-stabbed him by dodging both the draft and the ROTC.

I'll bet anything Harold Ickes has something on everyone who signed this letter. It's been coordinated with an identical letter in England.

The Clinton hit squad invented the "Letter of Experts" used against their critics and political enemies, I don't expect it will end till they're all in the ground.

Thanks for getting the scoop on this crowd.....

Just checked them out briefly & found many to be connected to Clinton, Carter Administrations & 'peace' groups.

looks like most are Democrats....so it's not surprising that they want to bash Bush.....and the media will aid & abet them!

If the public are made aware their partisan credentials....it would undermine their creditability.

My motive was infiltration into the press gallery. Shoot questions at this crowd.
BTW, If I'm not mistraken, Admiral Crowe was forced to resign over some sort of scandal. It may have been a conflict of interest with the military vs diplomatic.
I want these b*st*rds crushed.
Respectfully,
ONC

Excerpt from article on Crowe:
Bill Clinton paid him handsomely for his endorsement......

For serpentine nautical yarns, the Ancient Mariner has little on Bill Crowe. His career in the U.S. Navy began as a cadet at Annapolis during World War II and ended as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under two Republican presidents. In September 1992, three years after retirement from the Navy, Crowe stepped up to a microphone to endorse the presidential candidacy of Democrat Bill Clinton, who had assiduously avoided military service during Vietnam. Crowe says he was "quite upset" by GOP campaign rhetoric that implied the military shouldn't serve under Clinton if he became commander in chief. Crowe's endorsement had "enormous impact," recalls Paul Begala, a senior strategist for Clinton in 1992.

Clinton obviously thought so, too. In 1994, he appointed Crowe, MA '56, to the plum posting of ambassador to the United Kingdom. It is a position rich in history and tradition. In the formative years of the United States, the ministry to Great Britain was the grooming spot for presidents (five) and secretaries of state (nine). In this century, the job has been more about patronage, and men named Mellon and Kennedy, Whitney and Annenberg have held it.
