I'm watching the CSPAN live coverage of Reagan lying in state in the Capitol building.

It's STILL better than anything else on TV.

Yeah, I've been watching CSPAN all day. They are doing a great job having it live for everyone to see. The silent reverence is the best thing on TV.

For all the reverence that the editorial cartoonists have shown President Reagan, I couldn't help but notice that several of them used the opportunity to take cheap shots at President Bush. Par for the course.

Our local cartoonist, Robert Ariail of The State, at least is an equal-opportunity skewerer of politicians. And at least he doesn't draw W looking like a chimp.

Did anyone see the cartoon in USA today yesterday? It had a picture of a dead dragon laying on it's back and the bones of it's ribcage formed the words USSR with the caption "Ronald Reagan, dragonslayer" .

That sounds a lot like my favorite policitcal cartoon ever. It shows Ronald Reagan in Knight's armor, with a dead dragon laying on the ground with INFLATION across its chest. And the democrats are standing there saying "Yon carcass is starting to stink" or something...

This is going to be the new Kerry talking point.
The DNC Convention will be rife without of context Reagan quotes.
Even Kerry is attempting to do the "I knew Reagan and you are no Reagan".
Implying that Kerry somehow agreed with Kerry.
We need opostion research on Kerry vs. Reagan.
