This is what is dominating the Swedish media at the moment. The case gets weirder and weirder as the court hearings continue.

Wow, thanks for sharing--if not for you and FR I would have never heard about it. What a tangled web! Can you ping me with more information as it unfolds? I don't usually follow the murder trials over here but one in Sweden would be interesting. Right now it's Scott and Laci Peterson over here that's the case du jour.

The result of a liberal secularist "no-values" society. If you don't truly have some fixed values based on something higher than yourself, you will fall for anything, like these sects.

Thanks for the ping fdsa2! This case is so intrigueing and as they say in the article it's got all the elements of a hit drama series. I've been following it in the swedish press every day. I wasn't aware that the case had gained international attention though. I finally figured out a few days ago how everybody was related to each other. Days of our Lives is nothing compared to the Knutby drama.

. . . a bizarre story of sex and death in the secluded Knutby congregation . . .. Im Gilbert, the filbert,
The knut with the K.
The pride of Picadilly,
The blasé roué.Oh Hades, the ladies
Who leave their wooden huts
For Gilbert, the filbert,
The Colonel of the Knuts.

The movement is an off-shoot of the Church of Sweden, a Lutheran church to which seven million of Sweden's nine million citizens belong, but rarely visit.
Hurrah for the reformation!
