I am curious about your links which stand in contrast to the post. Based on my limited understand of how Radical Islam works, your posts are part of the initial process, the peaceful phase of Islam. If that was the end of it, I'd be fine with it, but history is full of examples, beginning with the prophets own life, that would suggest additional phases that are much less peaceful, much less tolerant and completely unacceptable.

I for one do not want my children to live under a "pact with Omar" which the original post mentions. I'd not heard of this before and found it very hard to believe so I checked. The internet is full of information about it. I will always be concerned by such history, particularly when not fully rejected.

I wonder what Quran the Kurds use as they appear to be a lot more peaceful than the Shi'ites and the Sunni's. They need to update their Quran before we can see peace anywhere.

I agree, the Quran is in need of many updates.

Funny thing is, if God bothered to send a message with so much information in it, surely, it wouldn't need real updating. Translation to a language of the day so someone like me can read it? ...sure, but the meaning MUST be maintained.
