Kerry is going to Simi Valley (What a Phony!)

Posted on 06/07/2004 7:07:17 PM PDT by faithincowboys

I just heard per Aaron Brown on CNN that John Kerry is planning to pay his respects tommorow or the next day.

What do we have to look forward to? A phony, BS moment of him pretending to revere Ronald Reagan in Simi Valley (for CA electoral purposes and general electoral purposes) or in DC.

I can't tell you how annoying and dishonest I find this.

And what do you bet he cuts in line?

If I were there, I'd raise holy hell if he cut in front of me.

he won't get any special treatment, he will have to queue up with everyone else and be bussed in - just like Arnold.

Unfair blast at Kerry. He is doing the right thing. He is showing respect the office which he seeks, and honoring a man who had such a great impact in his lifetime on American history. Traducing those that honor Reagan while being an opponent of his politics, just isn't my cup of tea. I dissent.

Yes, and it is going to be very annoying. And don't count on it--he just might try to get some special treatment. I can assure you, If I was near him in line, I would give him absolute Hell.

Now isn't the time for Kerry to politicize Reagan's death.

He hated Reagan and this doesn't involve him. The only people who should go visit reagan are people who cared. Not some hack Massachusetts, pessimisstic, anti-american Liberal.

Look, John "traitor" Kerry has no choice. GW Bush is going to win this election. Please take note of the "European" attitude. Both the leaders of Germany and France have come to the conclusion that they are going to have to live with GW Bush for four more years. John Kerry is an empty suit. He is going nowhere! From here on, his handlers will try anything! It's over for Kerry and his Democrat haters!

I join in your dissent.

Are we becoming no different than the Hutus and Tutsis?

No, he's not. Refrain from campaigning? Ok.

Using Reagan's death to try to get votes is bull.

Would Kerry be paying tribute if he weren't running for President??

He doesn't have to go there. It's phony to go--people know he had no love for Reagan.

Yup. He's a big bucks-no class, prissy, pinko phony who, we have heard has a history of cutting in line in front of the "little people'.

It would be inappropriate for him not to go.

I wish he'd go to Simi Valley the next day 'cause President Reagan will be in D.C. by then. But unfortunately, I heard on Fox News that the F'er himself will be showing his ugly face at the library sometime tomorrow.

First classy move I've seen Kerry make.

But I still bet he jumps the line.

Kerry's in a very awkward position. The only thing he can do to have a hope of stemming the emotional groundswell heading toward Reagan's political heir(Bush)is pay his respects. I do think it's grandstanding, though, he'd be better off paying his respects while the body lies in state in the Capitol Rotunda...after all, he's a senator. But let's be honest. He'd dig up Vietnam dead if he thought they'd vote for him. Let's hope he doesn't pester Nancy Reagan. That would be nasty, really over the line.

Can't you put aside the vitriol for one stinking week?

Reagan would be glad to have him. After all, a Democrat coming to honor a Republican is just what the Gipper had in mind!

You guys are wrong. He made a statement--that's all he needs to do.

Acc to Newsmax, Kerry's former campaign manager said that he had dreaded Reagan's death for what it would mean politically.

Kerry going there is a nakedly political, phony act. I don't think it is endearing or big of him. I think it's small and deceptive and just insulting.

what DC politicos are going to Simi Valley? They have the opportunity to attend the DC services. This is grandstanding by Kerry if he goes to Simi Valley.

I just hope Reagans admirers at the viewing service will show how we conservatives behave. If it were a republican visiting a dead democrat president, he or she would probably be heckled and spit on etc. There will be a lot of cameras waiting for someone to diss Kerry.
