STOP SOROS, GORE AND MCCAIN
EMail from ACU ^ | 6/4/2004 | David Kein

Posted on 06/04/2004 3:19:01 AM PDT by JesseHousman

Al Gore, billionaire Socialist George Soros, and John McCain have hatched a plan which according to Americans For Balanced Energy Choices is designed to:

- Decrease your disposable income by as much as 30%

- Increase unemployment by as much as 9% and,

- Increase Inflation by as much as 27%

This is no folk tale. It's a very real and imminent threat called the McCain-Lieberman Climate Stewardship Bill.

This bill contains many of the dangerous and disastrous provisions of the international climate treaty negotiated in Kyoto years ago that the Senate rejected by a 95-0 vote. And -- like the "undead" -- it's about to rise from the grave once again to haunt us.

According to a June 2003 report by the Energy Information Administration at the U.S. Department of Energy, this legislation would increase electricity rates by 46%, natural gas prices by 79%, and the cost of gasoline by as much as 40 cents a gallon.

The Energy Information Agency also estimated that the Climate Stewardship bill could reduce the size of the economy by $106 billion, with economic output and personal income both reduced by the legislation.

Did you know that the bogus threat of Global Warming was partially to blame for the Columbia shuttle disaster that claimed seven lives?

According to a Knight Ridder report, quoted by NewsMax.com, "NASA mechanical systems engineer Greg Katnik noted that the 1997 mission, STS-87, was the first to use a new method of foaming the tanks, one designed to address NASA's goal of using environmentally friendly products. The shift came as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency was ordering many industries to phase out the use of Freon, an aerosol propellant linked to ozone depletion and global warming"

This method of foaming the tanks was used despite the fact that NASA engineers knew for years that insulating foam could peel off the space shuttle's external fuel tanks and damage the vital heat-protecting tiles.

As many of you already know, when McCain-Lieberman came to a vote late last year, 10 Democrats joined most of McCain's colleagues to defeat it.

But McCain has vowed to bring it up again for a vote before the Senate adjourns for the 2004 elections, this time as a freestanding amendment to target legislation he has yet to identify.

And McCain has a secret weapon. It's called PANIC. McCain is admittedly pinning his hopes on pressure that he expects will be generated by the publicity surrounding "The Day After Tomorrow," the just-released disaster movie based on a book by a Whitley Strieber.

Strieber, who has said he wrote the book after being warned of what is going to happen "by aliens" posits a future in which hell freezes over as a direct result of our failure to do what the McCains of the world want.

Joining McCain in this false propaganda campaign, are Al Gore and billionaire Socialist George Soros of MoveOn.org.

Soros has just funneled a very large chunk of money into "Prevent a Climate Crisis" an ad-hoc committee of MoveOn.org.

And Al Gore is presently "stumping" the country on behalf of MoveOn.org -- working people into a frenzy over the discredited theory of Global Warming.

And like McCain, Soros and Gore are positioning themselves so that their fiery rhetoric hits a crescendo as "The Day After Tomorrow" hits theaters nationwide.

Moveon.org features "The Day After Tomorrow" on its website - proclaiming that it is, "The Movie The White House Doesn't Want You To See".

They're distributing leaflets entitled, "Global Warming Isn't Just A Movie, It's Your Future", and they're gathering signatures on a petition calling on Congress "to prevent a climate crisis"

Additionally, MoveOn.org has promised that thousands of anti-Bush volunteers will be in front of the nation's theaters to ask moviegoers to write and call their senators on behalf of the McCain bill.

Make no mistake, they will do it and the coverage from the liberal media will be tremendous.

The scary question is: Why is a supposedly serious person like McCain advocating a position that was scientifically discredited years ago and relying on something as absurd as this science fiction movie to push the matter?

One can understand Gore's fascination with such foolishness. And one can understand George Soros' fascination with moving our country toward Socialism.

I cannot speak to McCain's motivations, but I do know that it is not uncommon for politicians to lose touch with the American public.

I do know that much of the "world community" is openly hostile to the United States.

I do know that many countries have advocated positions and policies for no other reason than such positions and policies would be detrimental to the United States.

I do know that McCain is actively pushing this policy.

And I do know that this threat needs to be taken seriously. It is very real and it is imminent. False propaganda campaigns can be extremely effective and Congress does not always have the courage to stand up to liberal pressure. We need to give them that courage. WE MUST ACT TODAY!

This is a transparent attempt to use a "hot button" issue and this forum to raise funds. I don't like it anymore than I like the "hot button" mail I get from politicos.

at least nowadays he doesn't have to worry about record lows when threatening with global warming.

McCain could be motivated to get back at the citizens who did not support him for president. I am sure that the McCain supporters at the Weekly Standard will pump out his praises for this plot.

McCain Feingold campaign finance has been discredited. George Soros spent millions on campaign finance reform support of John McCain. He now uses a loop hole that McCain engineered for him to unduly influence the election. John McCain is not a man who supports America as many think. Soros is his ally and Soros is America's enemy.

When George Soros puts money into something he expects to reap a good return on that money. Soros deals in money its his stock in trade , destroying economies for profit is his game. If he can destroy America's economy it will be his biggest hit yet. Thank Gore and McCain for their stupidity in going along with this Financial Pirate.

I never have understood what people see in McCain, and why everyone thinks he's such a "good guy."

Yes, he was a POW in Viet Nam, and refused early release based on his status. A heroic act. But, just because you're a "war hero" doesn't mean you're a decent person, especially 30 years after the war.

Remember, McCain was one of the "Keating Five," along with four dems!

"Why is a supposedly serious person like McCain advocating a position that was scientifically discredited years ago [?]"

Why would anyone assume McCain is serious about anything, except aiding the RATs, since he was politically discredited years ago?

"So that's what Algore is doing. In the process of working people into a frenzy it is he who appears to be ready for a strait jacket.:"

The Democrats penchant for the 'frenzy' surely reveals that their power is weak and inauthentic ie. . .fraudulent. And fraudulent surely goes to the heart of the matter; as presented by algore, et al.

As 'Free Atlanta' duly noted in another post; "You just don't see conservatives acting this way. Period."

And again, IMHO; it goes to one's power source; inauthentic;fraudulent; immmoral; a kind of 'anti-power', so to speak - or just simply; the moral and genuine.

Their need for 'frenzy' tells us where they come from.

These Dems are not speaking from their heart, for sure.

...their power is weak and inauthentic ie. . .fraudulent.

Yet they keep carping about the election stolen from them.

In Skerry's last speech from the library of that other DemocRAT dwarf, Harry S (for nothing) Truman, Kerry stated that he had assembled 2,000 lawyers who will work day and night to truly steal the next election.

It is true that conservatives never act like these imbecilic DemocRATs who speak volumes, but an intelligent sentence never passes their flapping lips.

You would think; by the standard of Justice, these Libs might be stuck down by now - if even by a small lightening bolt perhaps; but no; they keep on.

The Liberals are the problem and then imagine they are the solution; hence the almost laughable new Kerry campaign slogan speaking to a vision of America that they themselves have determinedly tried to destroy. 'Let America be America again'. . .

(Yes, effenkerry; would that America could; but can only happen if you and every other Lib would give up your destructive agendas or just move to any country where your ideas are already in practice. Cuba, by the way; has a very nice climate, year round. . .)
