Mickey Kaus has asked some tough questions of Alex Polier. We have some suspicions and observations about her depiction of the sex scandal between her and John Kerry, too. Herewith:
Unsubstantiated bias against Republicans. Polier repeatedly implies the Republican Attack Machine (the same RAM that haunts John Kerry in his dreams) helped fuel the sex scandals fire. And yet once the reader digs deeper in the story, it becomes obvious that the real perps were probably Wes Clark staffer (and former Kerry-right hand) Chris Lehane and pro-Clark blogger Cameron Barrett. In fact, nary a Republican name is mentioned in the alleged conspiracy. It seems as though little-miss-clips-the-Economist cant let go of her own personal hatred for Republicans, even though the Grand Old Party had nothing to do with it.
Not the precious sweetheart she claims to be. Polier expends some words painting herself as a wide-eyed, innocent victim. She even writes, Wait a minute, Im the victim here. And she touchingly reassures her father, Its not your fault. Yet this wonderfully naïve victim also reveals her Hotmail password is bushsuckdisks. Hmph, charming.
Admits Kerry coached parents. Perhaps the most overlooked part of the story is Alex poliers admission that the Kerry campaign coached her parents on what to say to the press. My parents, whod also received advice from the Kerry campaign, were ready to issue theirs [public statement] which Id helped craft, she writes. Wait, wait, wait do you realize what shes saying? She, the Kerry campaign and her parents had to get their stories straight before they spoke to the press. Shouldnt this at least make us raise an eyebrow!?
Clearly in love with herself. After all that plastic surgery, Alex Polier is quite a striking lady. If she may say so herself. And she does. At least twice she calls herself pretty and brags about her long legs. Puh-lease.
Blame Drudge. Are we at crushkerry.com the only ones here who think Matt Drudge did nothing wrong? He reported a story about ongoing investigations within Big Media (including TIME, ABC News, WaPo, and the AP) and the blathering of a half-crazy, fringe candidate for president (Clark). And it wasnt Matt Drudge who hung out around her house and hounded her parents on the phone. That was the mainstream press. And yet the message was clear, as articulated by Chris Matthews: Blame Drudge. Why? Not because her reported anything fishy but because he scoops em every time.
Dingbat. If Alex Polier is going to be a journalist, could someone please teach this dingbat the meaning of the word ironic? Something that is ironic is contrary to what is expected or intended. Her bosss reference to her as the American intern was not ironic. It was clairvoyant, perceptive, foretelling even coincidental. But it was not ironic.
The phrase on everyones mind. We all know what Alex Polier is. Its on everyones mind. They even have a word for people like her. So here it goes were going to say it. Shes a Star -----r. Everyone knows someone like her; someone who would drop whatever theyre doing, leave their friends behind just to get into a photo with, or brush up against some celebrity. Her piece makes us sick at times: I hung at the bar next to Naomi Campbell drank champagne with eBay chairman Pierre Omidyar To me, politicians were the ultimate celebrities I was intrigued by the proximity to the powerful. Ugh.
Sorry, girlfriend. Were not buying what youre selling.
Ping
I think we can do without the vulgarity. There are better ways of saying the same thing, or you could have bleeped it out.
I think some of we, here on FR, stated that this wasn't over.
Hmmmmmmm ... 5 months to go.
Posted exactly as written.
I wondered where she was. Glad to see her back!
I believed more what propertius the freeper in kenya was saying than the press... oh wait they weren't saying anything were they!
It was uneccessary. Very poor taste and takes away all credibility.
"Sorry, girlfriend. Were not buying what youre selling."
Well then please provide details to dispute what she is saying - being as specific as possible. Don't use such vague terms as 'star f**ker' to cast doubt on her.
I'll bet you can't provide anything other than unfounded rumors to dispute her!!!! This story should have been left where it belongs, in the 'rumor mill'.
He (propertius) was on top of it, wasn't he?
This isn't over. Not by a long shot.
"I wondered where she was. Glad to see her back!"
You, I, and about 35 million of us.
Ramming speed! All engines full! ;)
She's a Dem and that's exactly what she is...so vulgarity fits her.
When people says "it was just sex" between Bill and Monica, I repeat what they did in the most vulgar terms I can say. People are shocked and that's the reaction I want from them...the more vulgar the terms, the more vulgar the act appears to b. It wasn't just sex.
I understood there is "another one" out there, too.
It's time. Tick tock.
crushkerrys mom is washing his keyboard out with "octogon" soap, as I type.
He'll never do it again. He promises!
Oh ... I love it!
Be still my little heart!
Oh cy, were it only true.
Yes. her name is Emma Gelbey.
Emma "Gilbey," sorry.
Here's an article:

She left Kerry for a rock guitarist while Julia Thorpe was sufering from depression and thinking of killing herself.
Time to get the key to all those self imposed lock boxes.
