Last tornado I saw was coming up my street, right off I-20 and Arlington Rd. Very scary to say the least.
It didn't do any damage to my house, but it did push a highway sign with 12 inch I - beams support poles over like a giant stepping on a bug.
I hope every one is OK
Y'ALL OKAY UP THERE??
Check in
My parents are in a camper in Corsicana! Can you keep me posted???
Good luck to everyone back there. Used to live in the mid-west, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. I've spent many a night wondering if there'd be daylight in my future.
I also have family in the area. Praying for those in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Ping.
Hope you're holding on tight.
My son just called from a N. Dallas (Central Expressway) restaurant where he works. Power off and high wind. I think they will be OK. Just need to hunker down. Just another lovely summer evening in N. Texas. Those who live here know what I mean. *grin*
I am in south west Arlington at 10:08pm, lots of thunder and lighting. WFAA reporting major damage at Parks Mall.
Power outages all over the DFW area. TV and radio claim these nasty storms are simply natural, authorities claiming that it was just from the amazing lightning show. But tinfoil freeps know better! THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE, BUT IT WAS AN AQ THUNDERCELL.
Nothing to see here, move along. There has been an amazing increase in thunderstorms, lightning, and train derailments. Tom Ridge, the FBI, and John Ashcroft are jackbooted idiots. And somehow illegal immigration is to blame. I'm going to sit at home and pout out this election.
FYI
All fine here in central Arlngton. We prepped the bolt-hole when the sirens went off, but didnt have to use it. The twister came down somewhere around U.S. 287 at IH-20 in southwest Arlington but missed us here in the old part of town. We lost power intermittently, but other than some minor street flooding and assorted elm branches all over the yard, it looks like Maison B-Chan has dodged another bullet. Thanks be to God!
