And that's exactly what I'm going to do this weekend when I order out for pizza. Call Pizza Hut first, tell them why I'm not ordering from them, and that I don't care which store it involved, all stores are warranted by the corporate ethics!
To: CourtneyLeigh
The $10 an hour manager isn't going to call corporate.

Yes. Definitely thank Pizza Hut for announcing to the world that the only thing standing between a criminals and a couple thousand dollars is a defenseless employee.

He only hit the fellow ten out of fifteen times with a 9mm at close range. Honeycutt needs to keep delivering pizzas so his aim and hits per clip will improve.

At that point, Honeycutt pulled out his own 9 mm from the back of his pants and fired 15 times, hitting the would-be robber at least 10 times, killing him. Nothing a few hours at the range won't cure. Honeycutt will have it down to a double-tap to the chest next time (assuming he is using +p JHP.)
Oh, and Pizza Hut pizza sucks anyway.

A lot better than the other pizza joints like Domino's with their thin, crappy pizzas. (I have not tried Papa John's yet though....heard it is really good).

Nah, the sauce is too sweet (or it was at least; I can't eat anything with wheat now so haven't had it in a while).

I agree with your sentiments, however, Mr. Honeycutt has no right to complain if he took his job with Pizza Hut knowing of their 'no firearms' policy and then proceeded to flout it and break it. His termination was inevitable and he should thank his lucky stars he is alive and take his lumps for violating the company policy.

Pizza Hut -- like any other corporation which gives a sh*t about its stockholders -- has no choice but to listen to its lawyers. Or, it can ignore its lawyers and leave itself open to being sued into oblivion.
At best, Honeycutt took a calculated risk when he decided to ignore the company policy. No one forced him to work for PH, and he was always free to find a job more to his liking. He couldn't stand the heat but, instead of getting out of the kitchen, he put his job -- as well as his employer -- at risk. He's lucky.
When I'm on company time, I abide by the employer's policies. The RKBA stops at the door (and/or on the clock).
I'll keep buying Pizza Hut pizza.

"He only hit the fellow ten out of fifteen times with a 9mm at close range. Honeycutt needs to keep delivering pizzas so his aim and hits per clip will improve."In defense of Mr. Honeycutt (although he seems to be doing fine in that regard himself!) it's only fair to note that firing under stress, with someone possibly shooting back, is a lot different than shooting paper targets at the range, and 10 hits out of 15 shots is pretty commendable.
OTOH, if he had say a .45, it wouldn't have been necessary for the reporter to add that the perp died.
LOL!

And if his employee had been shot and killed, Pizza Hut would have had their pants sued off. And unless the company furnished him protection, I can't see where they have a leg to stand on. Give the guy a bonus not the boot.

psssst, it's a magazine, not a clip. You can learn that at the range.
