First the article mentions 80000
BC not the leftist anti Christian
BCE often used, as it has been at least since the middle ages - let us keep our culture.
Second, according to the latest theory, based on DNA and meteorite evidence, there was a major catastropy 74000 years ago which deminished the amount of DNA diversity, and by inference, the amount of humans lurking around in antiquity. It is possible the finds are 80K years old...but I doubt it as the article mainly cites extraneous material, not the basis of the alleged age.
