Urge Governor Schwarzenegger, a True Uniter, to Demand Nancy Pelosi Stop Dividing America!

Nancy Pelosi's Dangerous, Divisive  Rhetoric is Unacceptable

Many FReepers have been contacting me about various action items I have posted, saying that they were having difficulty getting the contact info for their Congressmen, Senators, etc.  Thus, I have gone ahead and purchased a "SoapBox Alert" on Congress.Org to enable FReepers to use the protest tactics of this left-wing site against the left wingers -- it directly enables you to contact your representatives and Senators (and makes it very easy).   I hope you make use of it.

Here is the New Action Item:  Urge Governor Schwarzenegger, a True Uniter, to Demand Nancy Pelosi Stop Dividing America!

You can take action HERE.

Please keep in mind: I am NOT advocating support for Arnold or his policies.  I merely think that he can be a VERY effective PR weapon against Nancy Pelosi.  So, please... "suck it up" and send a letter to Arnold.  It is a very good idea to do this -- again, this is NOT an endorsement of his policies.  We need to use him for what he is worth.

As Daniel Weintraub of the Sacramento Bee has averred, Governor Schwarzenegger has proven himself to be a true Uniter, working together with everyone to turn California around.  This is the kind of leadership we need -- in California and in Washington.

Unfortunately, California has been plagued by one of the worst dividers in our country -- Nancy Pelosi (who, as a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, is more concerned with her radical left-wing agenda than with national unity in our nation's time of need).

Ms. Pelosi has crossed the line with this rhetoric -- she said, only a handful of days ago "Bush is an incompetent leader. In fact, he's not a leader. He's a person who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon. . . .  Not to get personal about it, but the president's capacity to lead has never been there. . . .In order to lead, you have to have judgment. In order to have judgment, you have to have knowledge and experience. He has none."

While it is one thing to criticize a President's policy, it is quite another to indulge in this sort of low-value, partisan mudslinging.  Comments like these add nothing to national debate -- except to inflame the base of the far-left.

Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R-IL) said, "Mrs. Pelosi has the right to disagree with President Bush, and it is clear that she has a different vision from the President. But her comments questioning the President's competence cross the line. . . .  We are in the middle of a war and in the middle of a political campaign. Mrs. Pelosi's comments were meant to inspire her political base. But who else do they inspire? That is the question she should ask herself."

As the Governor of California -- where Pelosi hails from -- and a true uniter, Governor Schwarzenegger must step forward and condemn Pelosi's remarks -- which go against everything he stands for.  I urge you to contact the Governor and tell him to do just that.

If you are short on time, here is a sample letter:

Dear Governor Schwarzenegger,

Please do the right thing and condemn California Representative Nancy Pelosi for her divisive, partisan rhetoric -- which goes against everything you believe in and have worked hard to put an end to in California.

As Governor, you have succeeded tremendously in putting an end to partisan bickering and infighting in Sacramento.  You have earned the trust and admiration of all Californian's for doing this and keeping your word -- to be a uniter, working together with both sides to accomplish real results.  Please help put an end to the disease of divisiveness California Representative Pelosi is infecting Washington with.

Ms. Pelosi has crossed the line.  She said, only a handful of days ago "Bush is an incompetent leader.

Regardless of what one thinks of President Bush's policy, this type of partisan attack has no place in legitimate debate.  More than ever, our country needs to be united.

Nancy Pelosi should apologize for her irresponsible, dangerous rhetoric.  She apparently is so caught up in partisan hatred for President Bush that her words are putting American lives at risk.

America needs you, Governor Schwarzenegger.  Please help put an end to the divisiveness in Washington that is being instigated by California Representatives such as Nancy Pelosi.  Simply stated, Ms. Pelosi makes California look bad.

Thank you, and I wish you continued success as Governor.

You can take action HERE.

Personally, I'd just love to see Ms. Pelosi get a punch right in the blow-hole. I just think that Governor Schwartzenegger is too much of a gentleman to go there. Perhaps we could arrange for Chappaquiddick Ted to become her chauffer? Or a evening out on the town with O.J. Simpson?

I think that Arnold would be wasting ammunition on condemning Pelosi.

I rather see him campaign and fundraise for Republicans and help defeat the Democrats running for State and National offices in CA in November. THAT is what counts. And he is already doing that. I think people can thank him and encourage him to do more of the same.

Who is the Republican running against Pelosi?

I just asked who is running against Pelosi and apparently you have the answer: JEN DEPALMA.

I think the thing to do is get Republicans, including Arnold campaign and raise funds for Jen Depalma.

I wish the link would have opened in a separate window. Oh well, here's what I sent Arnold, Cruz, and Bill:

Dear Sir,

Mrs. Pelosi has gone too far with the remarks made about President Bush recently. There is no excuse for her behavior. We are at war, and when terrorists see this kind of behavior from our own people, it makes them bolder. Guess who loses? Our troops! This isn't a Boy Scout camping trip. These folks have a religious obligation to kill, convert, or enslave non Muslims.

I am completely dismayed at the behavior of Mrs. Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and others during this sensitive time. When an elected official chooses to sling defamatory remarks towards a sitting president, that person should be publicly censured. Please give serious consideration towards censuring Mrs. Pelosi and Ted Kennedy. We all need to stick together and present a united front.

God bless America.

I tried to be as professional as possible. Talk about trying to break concrete with a butter knife...
