Fahrenheit 911 Cannes Screenening and Reaction/Discussion report
In a one hour interview with Variety Editor Peter Bart in Cannes, Moore said he is pressuring Mirimax's Harvey Weinstein for a July 4 release and a DVD in October.
He also bragged that he has footage shot in Iraq to see in the film.
Working on getting some reviews up from the recent screening, there was one on FOX News this morning.
Nothing political about either of those timeframes. And I just saw a cow jump over the moon....

So Kerry will have to walk behind Moore in the parade, cleaning up his poop.
All the war hysteria just paints the democrats as the party of cut and run. Bush will have a field day in the debates.
Kerry will have to take one side or the other, and he loses either way.
That would be the opening weekend for 'Spider-Man 2,' which will probably make $115-125million over that long weekend.
Moore seems to want to be lost in the shuffle....hmmmm, not the most business savvy guy in the world.

3 months between theatrical release and DVD? That pretty much assumes a quick exit from the theaters, doesn't it? Why not skip the hassle and go direct-to-DVD (and in the discount/closeout bin at that)?
He says he`s a patriot trying improve his country yet where is the movie about Clinton? Where are the scenes of doing absolutely nothing about terrorism for 8 years? Of Wayne Dumond, Juanita Brodderick, the ten billion gates, Larry Lawrence being buried in Arlington cemetary for cash even though he never served a day in the military, why Bubba went all the way to Marthas Vineyard to visit "his close personal friend Carly Simon" a day after Carlys "assistant" was busted after he tried to pick up 3 pounds of coke at an airport, the pardons, the FALN pardons for his wifes Senate campaign, the drug dealer pardon so Hitlery fat brother could get paid off...Man, I can`t imagine why Mr. Moore would want to remain so quiet about such an interesting guy.
Atta guy Mike! What better way to besmirch our brave fighting men and women, our Country, and give a slap across the face to our Founding Fathers!

Seriously, what's the latest on this film? Last I heard there was some question as to whether Disney would allow it to be released at all.
