I wouldn't blame the CIA for that. Woolsey quit partly because he couldn't even get into the White House to get the reprobate to listen to him.
I was out of the room for a little while, so I am curious is this the first time the press has believed the CIA?
Hersch's outlandish claims, with no on the record cooroboration, hurts the Democrats, and helps the President.

I think it's part of the media's "selective belief" system.
I've seen him many times on TV, but never heard him, personally, complain bout the lack of interest by Klintoon re "goings on." Strange he never seems to mention Ol Slick's indifference to the CIA's doings.....
When Woolsey quit there were some articles about his frustration with Clinton. IIRC, he then informally advised the Dole Campaign.
I believe the story. As I wrote on another post, if the Administration DIDN'T have an SAP interrogation program, I'd be disappointed in them. Of course we should have been quietly interrogating under the radar after 9-11.
But if such a program was put in a static location like Iraq, every MBA will tell you that it wouldn't work.
