Compensating Glow-Gate Prisoners in Iraq: How Much? [Baffled rantings of a confused FReeper]

Posted on 05/11/2004 2:54:22 AM PDT by Arthur Wildfire! March

Matt Drudge just pointed out the alarming news that prisoners were sodomised with glow sticks. This atrocity should, IMHO, be dubbed, Glow-Gate. How much should the victims be compensated for the various crimes committed against them? I, as well as leftist judges would first prefer to know why each individual was in that prison.

Let's examine various acts:

If someone previously on the side of terrorists had been driven around by a woman:

I would give him a piece of lead in the brain.

A leftist judge would feel his pain, understanding the multicultural aspects, and reward the terrorist-wannabe with $1 million.

If someone NOT previously on the side of terrorists had been driven around by a woman:

I would offer the man a lollypop.

A leftist judge would feel his pain, understanding the multicultural aspects, and reward the anti-terrorist with ten times less, just $100,000, since he was not as different with us as a terrorist-wannabe.

Now for the matter of the dog bite.

If someone previously on the side of terrorists had been bitten by a dog:

I would give him a piece of lead.

A leftist judge would feel his pain, understanding the multicultural aspects, and reward the terrorist-wannabe with $10 million.

If someone NOT previously on the side of terrorists had been bitten by a dog:

I would offer the poor guy $100,000.

A leftist judge would feel his pain, understanding the multicultural aspects, and reward the anti-terrorist with ten times less, just $1 million, since he was not as different with us as a terrorist-wannabe.

Sodomy with a glow stick.

If someone previously on the side of terrorists had been sodomized with a glow stick:

I would offer the man a hot piece of lead to go with it.

A leftist judge would say, "I wish that were done to me!" and demand the prisoner pay $100 for services rendered.

If someone NOT previously on the side of terrorists had been sodomized with a glow stick:

I would offer $10,000.

A leftist judge would say, "It's an outrage! Here's $20 million. Here's a subscription to Soldier of Fortune magazine. Here's a rocket launcher, and here's GW Bush's travelling schedule."

Let it be clear: guards behaving like terrorists should be punished. But let's not give more to a terrorist than one piece of lead.

I'm still waiting for spineless Republicans to point out that these homo-erotic images are what we have to show for the gays-in-the-military legacy of Bill Clinton.

WTF! Oh my God, this is a work of freaking genius!

Are you sure that Arthur isn't actually the custodian of John Kerry's brain?

Be Seeing You,

Chris

And what you get when you raise two generations of children with absolutely no influence from God. None. These people have to moral rudder, and and now you can see what you got from this policy. When you add to that my personal favorite - women in the military IN ANY CAPACITY - this is about what you wind up with.

How much?
Ten bucks, same as downtown.

Don't ask, don't tell. They need to ask if any of these prisoners are consenting adults. If so, then those investigating this are committing a crime. Wouldn't that be weird?

I have a friend who's even more jaded than me. Been singing, "Shine little glow worm, glimmer, glimmer." That's a slice of real life in our 'liberated' nation.

My services are not needed there.

I admit it. I'm a depraved human being. After all, I watch Hollywood movies. Worse still, I was raised in a multi-generational democrat family. And I didn't even go to college much. God only knows how I would be if I went to an Ivy league.

As for women in the military: why aren't they in separate squads? They share bunks, showers, and latrines with naked men. Female guards seeing naked prisoners is going on all over our nation. Great idea, huh? Regarding the depravity in the military: is it some kind of perverse recruitment gimmick thought up by the Sink-Meister?

ECSTASY USERS include "glow sticks" in their party-time as a regular happening.

http://www.stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle/223/glowsticks.shtml reports (from the pro-drug point of view) on this usage and what the federal courts think about it.  One judge had this to say:

"...  that while there is a "legitimate government interest" in curtailing illegal drug use, 'the government cannot ban inherently legal objects that are used in expressive communication because a few people use the same legal item to enhance the effects of an illegal substance.' Porteous also noted that "there is no conclusive evidence that eliminating the banned items has reduced the amount of ecstasy use at raves......"

One wonders what this judge would have to say if he got an appeal from one of the MP prison guards going down for misuse of a glowstick?

At the moment I'm finding it little short of incredible that the ECSTASY connection was not observed by the Inspector General or Ted Kennedy.  Certainly those guys must be aware of this practice!
