More Than 300 Muslims Gather for Seattle Banquet (Democrats vote anti-Israel platform plank)

American Muslims mingling in a ballroom at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in downtown Seattle last night showed no outward sign of the pressure many are feeling.
At the annual banquet for the Seattle chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the issues of war abroad and civil rights at home surfaced at the podium, and participants were ready with opinions when asked.
Yet this formal gathering of more than 300 people breathed the warmth and intimacy of a close-knit community.
Children dressed in their best filled the room with a family feeling.
Men from Africa, the Middle East and Malaysia greeted each other with broad smiles, tight bear hugs and soft kisses to the cheek.
Young women mostly wore headscarves, and a few had their faces veiled.
One overt political note was sounded as U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Seattle, was introduced and given CAIR's public-official-of-the-year award for his support of the Muslim community.
Before giving McDermott his plaque, Samia El-Moslimany, CAIR vice chair, announced "tremendous news."
She told the crowd that the King County Democratic Party, meeting earlier in the day elsewhere within the Convention Center, had voted into its platform a commitment to "withhold U.S. tax dollars from Israel while it is in violation of international law."
"This is a memorable day," said El-Moslimany.

I wonder if buchanan was a speaker?

Every time I hear Muslims in U.S politics moving towards Democrats it still gets to me. Democrats are the antithesis of many basic Muslim values. For a starter, big ones are abortion and support of gays.

Yes, the head of the Democrap party that included the anti-Israel resolution was on with Michael Medved and he is gay. I guess the democraps and the islamo-facists have a greater enemy at the present time. The islamo-facists will slit the throats of the gays and baby killers later.

I suppose Muslims are supporting Democrats for the same reason as Democrats are supporting Muslims--it's a marriage of convenience, something like the Hitler Stalin pact. Or for that matter, something like the alliance Muhammed made with the Jews of Medina.
Each of them expects to betray the other if and when they have gotten what they want out of the deal.
Muslims don't consider it wrong to break your solemn oath to an infidel--nor, as they have shown in recent years, do Democrats.

The muslims will align themselves with anyone, anywhere, anytime to help them gain an advantage. Then when the victory shouts are over and there are no more enemies to fight, the muslims will hand the stooges their heads as a service award.

Democrats are the antithesis of many basic Muslim values Except for the two big ones, being anti-Israeli and anti-American. On those issues, the democrats in crawl in bed with quite a few groups. CAIR and Al-Queda come to mind.

Jim McDermott should be brought up on charges of treason, aiding and abetting the enemy,.....I'm sure the list can go on.

If this story is well-exploited by the GOP, then Kerry cannot win Florida.

What a CAIR banquet looks like (this one in Florida):
I can't make out what the slide reads. Maybe Freepers can make educated guesses.

Democrats are the antithesis of many basic Muslim values. Nope, destruction of American society is what they both want. It's just that US DemocRATS can slip by airport security a bit easier.

Jim McDermott should be brought up on charges of treason, aiding and abetting the enemy Any Seattle Jew who would vote for McDermott probably had a German ancestor who voted for Hitler.

I move that we henceforth refer to James McDermott as James McDhimmi. What a scumbag.

I guess a convention hall full of disloyal terrorist sympathizers is one place that actually safe from an attack.
Round 'em up. Deport 'em all.

McDermRAT and CAIR need to get a room...for that matter they should include the Seattle Times. Our coun try would be a better place if ANY of these individuals cared half as much for the USA as thier did Islamic allies.
