There is word going around locally that there is an abortion mill in the works for the Killeen (near Fort Hood) area.
Please pray that this never comes about.

I'm bumping you without an intelligent thought to offer. I never know what to say on these threads. This is sad and emotional news and I'll be praying. Is there a pro-life crisis pregnancy center in the area?
About two minutes ago, I JUST got off the phone with a friend who decided to keep her baby down in the Junction, Tx. Praise God.

Thanks. Actually, there are several in the neighboring towns. I never thought we'd have an abortion clinic here in town, but it seems that the one in Austin wants to expand its services.

Well, it's a profit seeking industry and I guess they are going to go where there is a market for abortions. I could see a lot of women in the army being tempted to dispose of an unplanned pregnancy, or a woman dating someone in the army who isn't ready for a baby, etc.
I didn't finish my thought about my friend. Because there wasn't an abortion center in Junction, she was going to go to San Antonio. The distance sort of bought the life in her womb some time. I guess if abortion is going to always be around, the best thing that could happen is have as few centers as possible. Time to consider the consequences is purchased by the distance.
KWIM? Am I wrong?

Ft. Hood is quite the profit center. A lot of young people drinking a lot of booze and doing stupid things. I trust Cove and Belton will fight it tooth and nail. Killeen, itself, would welcome it with open arms. It sort of fits in with the spirit of Killeen, Tx. Downright mean.

I wish I could. I just see the dirt and the crime. Maybe cities and I just don't agree. I wasn't happy after about 1 1/2 in Los Angeles either.

There is word going around locally that there is an abortion mill in the works for the Killeen (near Fort Hood) area.
Are there any details to the 'word going around'? Or is it just that at this stage...... Are there any other abortion providers in the area?

TxBec,
There is some good news because you have one of the best pro-life groups in Denton, just north of Dallas, Life Dynamics , 940-380-8800. They can get to the facts faster than anyone in your area, and IF its true they will help you and your local area pro-life groups & churches engage.
Also there is an outstanding Pro-Life couple, Chris and Sherry Danze in Austin. They lead a boycott last year and stopped construction of a 6+ million dollar mill in Austin. Chris is president of Maldonado and Danze, Inc., in Austin (512) 837-9677. Chris could be a critical factor in this, contact him right away. I believe he has a very powerful association of contractors in the Austin area that could stage a preemptive boycott to stop this.
If you confirm its true you must get the local people informed and engaged. Have them take a virtual tour of NATIONAL AMERICAN HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL and have them see a former abortion mill-holocaust chamber from the inside. Get them to watch the videos to more fully appreciate what evil is going on.
Make contact with those two ASAP and then please freepmail or email me Kevin@CpForLife.org I will help any way I can.
