I have received a communication from Iraq that outlines a particular form of torture of Iraqi female prisoners that is nothing short of a war crime. The torture was first performed in 1969.

If a female is suspected of having critical information but refuses to talk, she is taken outside and placed inside a rented 1969 Oldsmobile. The biggest, fattest, drunken slob of a human being who cannot swim is assigned to take her for a drive. He heads to the Euphrates River and warns her that she had better talk. If she still refuses, he drives off the bridge and allows her to drown or die in a vanishing pocket of air in six feet of water. Several hours later, he will inform her parents that their daughter is dead. Eventually, he will report it to the police. Finally, the parents will be paid off to remain quiet.

I have passed this information on to the International Red Cross as well as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Talk about man's inhumanity to man. Anyone participating in this form of torture should have his big fat drunkn *ss publicly caned.

Amid all the claims of US torture of Iraqis, doesn't a thread like this just add to the confusion? The title is misleading, given the fact that every news station on the planet is talking about US excesses, not Saddam-era torture.

Having read the title, isn't one to assume that this is another thread about US abuses?

Maybe I've just reached my 'torture and abuse' limits...
