Wow, you really captured Karen Hughes here! Her face is so animated. Great job!
To: IPWGOP
It is amazing that Karen Hughes is responsible for Kerry tossing his medals 30 years ago. Wow, she is powerful.

Question - Kerry makes the distinction between medals and ribbons. In my own head I think of a medal consisting of 1a)a piece of metal, and 1b)a ribbon that attaches the medal to the clasp thing (pin?) that attaches to the shirt. But then there's the whole ribbon thing of the long pin-on things denoting service in various theatres of war. I need help on the terminology. What did he throw over the fence?

Love the overalls on Kerry--LOL!
I'd sure like to see one with "L" on Kerry's forehead for "Loser!".

"What did he throw over the fence?"Yes, that is the question NO ONE can get a straight answer from Kerry about. Back in the 1971 videotape at the Washington D.C. TV station interview, Kerry said he did indeed throw both the ribbons AND the medals. His story changed by, I think, 1984... when he was running for office and folks were nervous about this subject. Also adding to the confusion is Kerry's statement that the medals (not ribbons... medals) he threw were not his own.
