There were a good number of Say What moments at the March this weekend. Some of the most telling were at the pre-rally the night before, filled with music and ranting aimed at modern-day bra-burner wannabe college students and their nostalgic feminist mothers. One of the most bizarre though, came from Maxine Waters. After sending a civil message to the president (George W Bush, go to hell! And while youre at it, we want you to take Ashcroft with you. And dont forget Rumsfeld. And please carry along Condi Rice.), Waters told the rallied, I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion.

The level of hostility towards President Bush smacks of utter desperation. Pretty soon, we'll have liberals blowing themselves up in front of banks and Republican motorcades...

good one. LOL

Ms. Waters is an embarrassment to the human race. Has she ever said anything, in her long political career, that made the least little bit of sense? Her district must be the cradle of idiocy

This woman is, I should hope, at least as much an embarrassment to "good liberals" (e.g., David Broder?) as is Michael Moore. It's like self-parody!

Interestingly enough, she would have been factually correct if she had said "I am able to march because my mother did not have abortion rights."

To:Maxine Walters. You ARE going to HELL and you WILL take all your cronies with you!!
To: Piranha
She dishonors so many with her rude statements. The left-wing press, DNC, Congress, etc. will not even acknowledge that it ocurred.
A Congress person calling for our President to go to hell. You have no class Ms. Waters.
Can't recall any republican/conservative Congresspersons suggesting that Clinton go to hell. If it occurred, we would likely still be hearing about it.
Also - Ms. Waters, that thing growing in the womb is a baby. It's human life. There's no need to condemn it do death either.
To: Piranha
Marxine said she has to march because her mother could not have an abortion?????????
Kind of like Sheila Jackson Lee asking if the lunar flag could be seen on Mars........
Heaven help these so called black role models for young black women.

Abortion is not about saving womens lives!
Total Abortions since 1973
44,670,812
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why the drop after 1960? (in deaths of women from illegal abortions)The reasons were new and better antibiotics, better surgery and the establishment of intensive care units in hospitals. This was in the face of a rising population. Between 1967 and 1970 sixteen states legalized abortion. In most it was limited, only for rape, incest and severe fetal handicap (life of mother was legal in all states). There were two big exceptions California in 1967, and New York in 1970 allowed abortion on demand. Now look at the chart carefully.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abortion Statistics - Decision to Have an Abortion (U.S.)
· 25.5% of women deciding to have an abortion want to postpone childbearing
· 21.3% of women cannot afford a baby
· 14.1% of women have a relationship issue or their partner does not want a child
· 12.2% of women are too young (their parents or others object to the pregnancy)
· 10.8% of women feel a child will disrupt their education or career
· 7.9% of women want no (more) children
· 3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health
2.8% of women have an abortion due to a risk to maternal health
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So how many womens lives have been saved by abortion?
Only about 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be due to a risk to maternal health. A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But lets say they did. That means that nearly 45 million fetuses were butchered to save the lives of about 1.3 million women.
Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman.

I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion. I see what you are getting at, if Maxine's mother had an abortion (if it were legal then), Maxine wouldn't be in the march. She would be immersed in formaldehyde or buried in a bio hazard container. LOL!

Waters told the rallied, I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion. That is compelling. She had me wavering there for a minute.
Not worth it.

THANK YOU!
So, is killing 38 million innocents (19 million women and 38 million future employees, taxpayers and social security donors) for the purpose of "death-for-convenience" better (or worse) for women, than murdering 6 million Jews for racial purity?

Ironically this is a great way to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Gentlemen, when you're with a babe and things start getting hot and heavy, just think of Old Kerosine Maxine. More effective than a cold shower and cheaper than saltpeter.

"Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman." ... But if a new law is not created to empower women to hire serial killers, the feminist objective of superiority over men and nature and civilization would not have been served. The feminists have reached the point of security with this created right to kill an alive unborn child that they will even willingly admit that they know a human individual's lifetime is stopped (a person is killed) by the abortionists, but the feminists insist that the subpreme court granted to women this special right to use serial killing to avoid child care. As to Maxipadcine and her diatribe against this administration, well, that's what this crap 'rally' was all about anyway because the murderous feminists don't actually believe their special right to kill the unborn is in any real danger of being reversed in their or their children's lifetimes (the children not slaughtered on their feminists' child-blood altar that is). What an inspiration for young black people this Maxcine must be ...'Kill unborn alive black babies as your supreme right, black women'. Ghastly ghouls leading black people ...
