Oh yeah. Go ahead and excerpt. As if I'm going to click-through to read Morford. While I do not recommend you click through and give Morford the hits she needs if she'd going to keep her job, I feel it is my duty to inform you that if you do not, you run the risk of missing insiteful political commentary such as this:
"Who, furthermore, could not help but let out a groan of pathos as Condi Rice, friendless and alone and looking weirdly, increasingly mechanical and limp and completely drained of all feminine fire, dutifully lied her ass off and regurgitated policy and stood by her man?"

The allegedly "dumb" Bush knows the whole apology thing is a setup to give the Democrats sound bites to use against him, and he didn't fall for it. I can just hear Kerry in the faux presidential drone that he learned from Ted Kennedy: "President Bush has himself admitted that he was wrong, wrong, wrong. We can't afford four more years of someone who was wrong about the war on terror, wrong about Iraq, wrong about the economy. We can't afford four more years of a president who has to continually apologize to the American people for every action of his failed administration! We need change, not apologies!"
