This is the first time I have saw him hands and that looks very authentic....

Something wierd I was thinking of with "The success of The Passion of Christ and the movie being shown around the world, now we have the Shroud that is in the Mainline News, could it be that "Jesus" is giving us every sign he can to bring people his message of salvation because the End is Near? Just some food for thought...

It's a very interesting and timely question. If you haven't checked out the other threads, you'd probably find them quite interesting. FReeper shroudie is a noted Shroud of Turin historian. Very good information.

Anyone who says that the Shroud is a painting is an idiot. It is impossible for anyone to paint a negative that, when reversed, looks anything like the Man on the Shroud. Anyone who seizes on that one carbon-dating result to claim that the Shroud is only 700-800 years old is ignoring a mountain of other evidence, both in the image, and in the cloth itself. I noted that John Dominic Crossan, the ex-priest TV-theologian, recently asserted that the Shroud was a medieval painting.

Helpful explanation of the second face can be found at:

http://shroudstory.com/faq-second-image.htm

From there, you can link to other useful pages about the chemistry of the image, the carbon 14 tests, etc.

"...Jerusalem, where Christians believe Jesus was crucified. "

Don't non-Christians believe Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem? I don't believe the fact that Jesus of Nazareth lived and died by crucifixion is in dispute, as this statement implies.

I've thought about that. Look for the wholesale conversion of Jews...
