There had been speculation that Duke would oppose Bobby Jindal for the open House seat in suburban New Orleans, but this indicates that he cannot run for office with his felony conviction. He lost a race for that same seat in 1999.

Would he need permission from his parole officer to run for office?

David Duke ran as a Democrat and an independent before he ever ran as a Republican. RINOs come in all shapes and sizes. Doesn't mean that they are "Republicans".
Democrats showed that they will vote in a primary to select a RINO that they agree with (see McCain's 2000 campaign).

(Maybe Urban Outfitters should sell t-shirts that say "Voting Democrat is for Old Dead People.")

I hate to admit it, but David Duke does have one good point...
...right on top of his white hood.

I'm surprised that no one on this thread brought up the fact that he was in jail for bilking his supporters (implied to be racists). Isn't this like someone milking the Islamofascists for money and then using it to buy a luxury car?
The funds are kept from doing their full damage.

Hey groovy! Maybe he can testify before the 911 commission. He must have heard something bad about President Bush while inside the big house!
