Lift the siege? Fallujah is under siege? Since when, and in which case, what were civilians doing there? And why didn't we show up in force immediately? And don't we have pictures of the dancing crowds, thanks to AFP, with perfectly recognizable faces showing?

I have NO hope for these people as a culture. ...barbaric, cruel and easily prone to mob violence seems to be the norm far too often. Of course there are exceptions and I dont want to paint with too broad of a brush, but this is just beyond the pale.

You know, I keep trying to be rational about this, but every time I think of what happened, rage just overwhelms me. It might not be a sane thing to say, but I'd like to see the whole town turned into a glowing piece of green glass that would not sustain life for thousands of years.
