Former President Clinton said in 1998 that Iraq had WMDs and that the U.S. would need to use force if Saddam Hussein rejected peace. Yet Ramsey Clark is leading a movement to impeach President Bush for lying about Saddam's possession of WMDs?
The assertion that the President Bush manipulated WMD intelligence data and grossly exaggerated the state of Iraq's weapons program is a grave one. It is worthy of impeachment. Former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark is leading a movement to impeach the President. Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) has accused the President of lying and manipulating the data and reiterates Clark's thoughts. Senator John Kerry (D-MA) says the president needs to be honest with the people.
Honest! Remember that word.
The revelation by Chief Weapons Inspector David Kay that U.S. intelligence was "almost all wrong" about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (WMD) leave Americans unsure of their President's credibility. The statements by the president's administration deceived the American people. They inferred that Iraq was undoubtedly in possession of WMD and would use them.
Lies! Our country and its people are sick of the lies involving war!
The President said "One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them." And now there are no weapons? He is on record as saying, "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." The statements from the administration and fellow party members concurred with the president's statements leading the American people to believe that Iraq possessed WMD. "We have known for years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." said the Congresswoman from California. Furthermore, in backing the president's intention on military action on Iraq, several Senators stated, ""We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and to take necessary actions...to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Honesty! Remember that word.
What about the people? There were massive amounts of people protesting this war. Millions gathered worldwide. Obviously, public sentiment was against this war, and now it appears the facts were too.
Honesty! Remember that word.
Confronting the President who made those comments and impeaching that President is unfeasible. President Clinton made them in 1998. Also, the next time Senator John Kerry is giving a speech (and before his one millionth declaration of his Vietnam service) about how he would make a better president then George Bush, would someone please suggest to him a cure for amnesia? He was among the Senators quoted above urging military action in October 1998. The Congresswoman who was quoted about Iraq WMD was Nancy Pelosi in December 1998, now the Democrat Majority Leader.
So in 1998 under Clinton there was evidence of Weapons of Mass Destruction but now under President Bush, there isn't any?
Honest? Lying to the public? Isn't that the Democrats' claim?
This is the truth that the Democrats do not want you to hear. The truth is that President Bush never lied or manipulated anyone. In going to war, President Bush used the intelligence available to him - the same intelligence that Clinton, Kerry and the other "Democratogogues" supported during the Clinton regime - and made a decision in which he thought was the best available method to secure the nation and eliminate the possibility of future terrorist threats. As Senator Joseph Lieberman said "The case was there back as far as '98, as far as I was concerned, to get rid of Saddam--all the stronger after September 11th, because we would naturally say to ourselves, 'We don't want to look back after Saddam sponsors some horrific action against us and say why didn't we stop him when we had the chance?"
Proud to be an American, aren't you? If you can stomach it, here is more truth.
The rallies held worldwide saying "Bush is a horror!" and "Bush is a war criminal!" and things of that nature; the rallies held by peace-seeking citizens that were formed, supported and orchestrated by International A.N.S.W.E.R (Act Now Stop War End Racism) among others. While seemingly a nice acronym, A.N.S.W.E.R. is endorsed and funded by fanatical Communist and Muslim groups that have a main objective for the demise of the United States. Ramsey Clark is a card-carrying member of this group. That's right, the same Ramsey Clark who is leading an impeachment movement.
Honesty, right?
If the criteria for impeaching a President are lying and manipulating the public, what justice do his accusers, especially the Democrats, deserve after denying facts they stated six years ago? This is absolutely ridiculous and has to stop. The fact that the "democratogogues" are getting away with this must be pointed out to the American people. If not, the Democrats will imply and insinuate that Bush lied, thinking they can influence the presidential election and regain control of the White House, which is all they are truly concerned about doing. The American people have a right to know what is going on, especially when we are sending our troops overseas. To use the pain and sorrow of our country's citizens; to manipulate the public to achieve power is the lowest of lows. If this continues, the question will not be whether Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, but rather, who is the more imminent threat: terrorists or Democrats?
Someone should ask Clarky-boy about that.
Just wondering - in the tea leaves - Is George W. a one term President? And if so, what does that say about the inept GOP Congressional leadership?
The early "line" on the final "9-11" Commission report, almost as if pre-ordained in this election season - is that "9-11" was preventable by the Bush_43 administration. Surprise, suprise, surprise, ...
