A John Kerry Watergate-style break in?

According to this FR thread, it wouldn't be the first time. I take it that this is what you were thinking of? :)

Ern,

You know Clinton tried this on when he was being queried about his very brief sojourn at Oxford, instead spending the the better part of two years knocking about in Czechoslovakia, the DDR, and Russia.

That is, he tried to intimate that he had been on CIA business!

I frankly always gave the story SOME credence, because of the incredible pass Bushpa gave him in 1992. I figured, "... there must be some reason why the former head of the CIA is letting this crook off the hook ..."

The Bush pass to Clinton in '92 must remain one of the great unanswered questions of the 20th C. Anyway, maybe Kerry WAS an FBI mole. I doubt it and I want to see thoise records, too!

What is the point of stealing copies?

Granted Democrats are drooling morons, but this is ridiculous.

What did John Kerry know and when did he know it?;) It would slow the reporter down on his research a bit. Of course it would make him look harder at the stuff that was taken when he gets it back. This may also cause the reporter to devote too much time to what was taken and not enough on what wasn't. Or it could be some papers were substituted for others. Of course it could be some DU moron decided to take it upon himself to steal some papers to help Kerry. We don't really know at this point. Of course if these were papers on Republicans the major media outlets would be all over it and the Democrats would be demanding hearings.

There are two choices: He either really had files stolen or he's conveniently lost them and reported them stolen.

That might attract some attention to his story if he cough... cough... had them stolen. Maybe he should make up a fictitious source, give him a porno name and write a book.;)

He mean photocopies of those files because originals are not handed out. He could just refile under the FOIA, and get them again so what is the big deal/sinister aspect of this story? Self promotion by the author?

Is he the only author ever to as for these records? I am sure every author-journalist has his own set of requests for said records.

It should make everyone look harder at the material in those boxes. Obviously there is something there that someone doesn't want people to know.....

The material is publicly available.....No R would risk another Watergate ....that leaves____________________.

Who would the risk be worth the consequences if caught?

"...photocopies..."

Thanks. I was actually wondering about that myself. Whoever heard about being able to obtain the originals. They always give copies. For instance, we always see those UFO-hunter FOI-files with all the blacked-out/redacted material presented as evidence of a conspiracy ala Art Bell. Its the same here; these weren't the originals.

"These would be copies wouldn't they ? So he can reapply and then look particularly at those stolen the first time to see what makes them attractive :)"

That's what I was thinking. . .'got them once'. . .get them twice. They are not the originals.

Of course, the originals may come to some mystery, soon and as well.

Think Kerry is not into taking any chances something might be 'misconstrued' by the public.

We need to spread the word and I mean it, Kerry is a world liberal socialist that wants to continue to hurt our military, raise our taxes, steal, lie, cheat to get what he wants, he cant make up his mind and he is a danger to our security. Worse yet he buddies with ted kennedy and slimeballs around the world endorse him. They dont like being exposed. Kerry lied lied lied lied, fight him America send to all your friends, vote Democrat any time you want, but please for Americas sake not this time.
