Barkley once vowed that after basketball he would run for governor of Alabama. He's changed his mind.

"Politics are crooked," he said. "Instead of knocking heads with lobby groups, I can do more where I am now."

He's against the United States going to war with Iraq.

"Nobody wins," he said. "We need to start treating other countries better. They all hate us. We've got to be doing something wrong."

Barkley supported John Edwards in the Dem primary. He's no GOPer:

Edwards will be back in Atlanta on Saturday and he will have former NBA star Charles Barkley campaigning with him. Then, on Monday, musician Darius Rucker and his band, Hootie and the Blowfish, will campaign with Edwards.

Barkley is a horse's ass. He spouts opinions on both sides of the fence, but I permanently tuned him out after he tried to make a case that Augusta National was lengthening their golf course as a racist move to prevent Tiger from winning more Masters.

Yup, it's time for America to stop being successful so other countries won't envy and hate us. Too much success is bad for the world....

Mike Gallagher played the tape of his appearance with Charles Barkley on MTV Rock the Vote.

Barkley was aggressively ignorant and offensive in his pandering to the young, restless cucumber-condom crowd.

Ventura has taken more than his allowance of cheap shots at our president.

He has more than worn the gloss of novelty off his fifteen minutes.

This Ventura-Barkley ticket is headed for the land of the Clintons' adopted child, between the bathtub and the sink.
