How to create more jobs

Why aren't more jobs being created? Ask President Bush's political opponents and even some of his friends. It is a legitimate question and it deserves a serious answer.

Mr. Bush's Democratic opponents blame him but fail to admit the recession began on the Clinton/Gore watch. Neither do they tell us precisely what they would have done or will do now about the problem.

The weak dollar makes our exports cheaper which increases demand and creates jobs in America. A strong dollar reduces our capacity to export and decreases the price of importsresulting in jobs in China.

As an added bonus it makes tourism in France quite expensive resulting in less American money being spent in that odious nation.

We should tell the Saudis and other major OPEC oil-cartel members that the current price of oil is unacceptable and we will take action against them if they do not significantly reduce it.

And if I were the Saudis I would tell you to take a hike. Its the US's own fault for becoming so dependent on foreign oil. I can't believe the arrogance -- go to the cheapest supplier and then whine that they are raising the prices.

And like the example in the article about businessmen not liking that the tax cuts could be reversed in the future, what is this temporary saber rattling going to do to solidify our future? In another 10 years OPEC will do the same thing.

Maybe the reason that doesn't seem to be working is because the only thing we've been exporting is ...jobs.

Right, the world is spinning out of control. We've lost, man the basements.

Very good, the answer to our energy problems is taht we don't want to "despoil" the Earth. Well, our part of it anyway. We have no problem "despoiling" other parts of the Earth.

Build the natural gas pipeline through the ANWR and start drilling there and elsewhere.

For that we get a twofer, lower energy costs and JOBS.

Create millions of jobs by sending the illegals home.

Stop welfare and you have applicants for the jobs.
