WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Bush administration backed off plans to require that millions of visa-carrying Mexicans who make short visits to America and stay close to the border be fingerprinted and photographed to get into the country.

Asa Hutchinson, the Homeland Security department's undersecretary for border and transportation, was to publicly announce the policy change at a Capitol Hill hearing Thursday, a congressional official who was briefed on the plan told The Associated Press.

On March 20, 2003, American and coalition forces began military operations in Iraq.
On March 20, 2004 the Parasites of Freedom are planning demonstrations across the United States of America as well as in Europe and other countries to protest Operation Iraqi Freedom and to denigrate our Brave Troops and our Commander in Chief.

The Time is Now!

On March 21, 2003, our President and Commander in Chief issued the following statement in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom:
"In this conflict, America faces an enemy who has no regard for conventions of war or rules of morality. Saddam Hussein has placed Iraqi troops and equipment in civilian areas, and is attempting to use innocent men, women and children as shields for his military - a final atrocity against his people."
"American and coalition forces will make every effort to spare innocent civilians from harm. We come to Iraq with respect for its citizens, their great civilization, and the religious faiths they practice. We have no ambition in Iraq, except to remove a threat and restore control of the country to its own people."

George W. Bush!

Our nation enters this conflict reluctantly, yet our purpose is sure. The people of the US and our friends and allies will not live at the mercy of an outlaw regime that threatens the peace with weapons of mass murder.
Now that conflict has come, the only way to limit its duration is to apply decisive force. This will not be a campaign of half measures, and we will accept no outcome but victory.

The dangers to our country and the world will be overcome. We will pass through this time of peril and carry on the work of peace. We will defend our freedom. We will bring freedom to others and we will prevail."

One year later, thanks to our Commander in Chief
and the Armed Forces of the United States of America,
Freedom has come to Iraq !

Saddam Hussein faces trial for his crimes.

Stand Up For America!

Stand Up For Our Troops!

Stand Up For Our President!

Well .. we don't require it of Canada, why should we require it of Mexico. These people have legal visas and come over the border to work every day. They've already been photographed and fingerprinted to get the visa.

Instead of geting fingerprinted once and being allowed to use your machine readable passport, I believe they are now going to take your figerprint and picter with each entry and eventually exit.

I caught part of the subcommittee on funds for DHS today and heard Ridge testifying, what a buffoon! You cannot help this problem throwing more money at it! One Republican Congressman confronted Ridge with why certain programs were cut, funds cut off and why when they try t o get info on it, they are just getting the runaround! Check out the transcript if you can get it Yonif, Ridge is appalling!

Wait! It gets worse!

In today's House Appropriation Subcommittee hearing of Tom Ridge getting funds:

A very angry Rep. Wamp of Tenn. revealed German makers have gotten a five year contract for antidotes if we have an attack from a dirty bomb!!!

We have American pharmaceutical companies lining up with the antecdote and they give a contract to GERMANY! Rep. Wamp went on to say this is UNACCEPTABLE! We need to buy American! If we are attacked with a dirty bomb why on earth does Germany get the contract?!

"These people have legal visas and come over the border to work every day. They've already been photographed and fingerprinted to get the visa."

Ahh, but are they who they present themselves to be? Document fraud is a lucrative industry all around the southern border, as is identity theft. This is why the scanners are necessary.

Such visas are issued to people who have undergone background checks and consulate interviews where they are fingerprinted and photographed.

So where's the problem? They've already been interviewed and fingerprinted. Seems like a waste of time to continue doing it every time the visa holder crosses back and forth. If you're going to go to that extent, why issue the visa in the first place?

Same here, but then I've grown accustomed to it. It does very little good to address Bush's shortcomings. It ain't going to change and his concubines throw a hissy fit if you call a spade a spade.
