BEIJING — A Chinese official said publicly Tuesday he does not "give a sh*t" who will be elected president of Taiwan in the March 20 election as long as the winner follows a one-China policy.

Zhang Guoxiang, spokesman for the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), used the term at a press conference when a Taiwanese TV reporter asked him whether Taiwan's election would be a topic at the annual CPPCC session that begins Wednesday. (Kyodo News)

If John F'ing Kerry is elected, he won't give a sh*t about Taiwan too.

"I promise that if elected to be President of China, that I will strictly adhere to a One-China policy. The people of mainland China should also have an election to join us, and we believe that they may elect to join us as One-China, under a new constitution for a new Chinese era - another 1000 years of the golden dragon on the earth, shining brightly as a beacon of freedom to all mankind."

naaaaaw... never happen.

Not really. My wife, nor any of our friends will use swear words in Chinese, but they dont seem to mind doing it in English. To them it is not as vulgar.

Ironicly that was actually proposed by some overseas Chinese in an attempt to break the deadlock over Taiwan in the 1980's. They proposes a two party system KMT and CCP, eliminate the PRC flag and Nationalist China flag and replace it with the 1911 Republic of China flag. Otherwise they can always restore the Ming Dynasty (descendants are still alive).

The spokesman didn't say "shit". He said "not interested" but it was translated as "don't give a shit" by the interpreter.
