SNAKE OIL (from Klueless John Kerry)

JOHN Kerry has found a theme for Super Tuesday: the economy. The Dem front- runner is targeting voters in New York's struggling Upstate communities with a new pitch - "State of New York Under Bush: Bad for Workers and Families." His campaign will hit Upstate this weekend with custom-made statistics and purported solutions - but the candidate's proposed economic fixes don't withstand much scrutiny. On Tuesday, Kerry threw a bunch of numbers up on his Web site to prove that President Bush is squeezing the Empire State. While Bush resolutely doles out "tax cuts for the wealthy" and toils at "sending jobs overseas," says Kerry, New Yorkers are suffering.

New York would have done better if liberals didn't force GE to dredge the Upper Hudson (and stir up long-buried PCBs), refuse US Navy installations and foster, in general, an anti-business climate that drove many of America's top corporations to relocate outside the state.

To wit: Since Bush took office, 200,000 New Yorkers have lost jobs - 135,000 in manufacturing. Bush's tax cuts were no help to the local economy, claims Kerry - instead, they had a "devastating impact."

Maybe New Yorkers want a brain-dead president.

Seems I remember in September a couple of years ago that New York lost 100,000 jobs in a single day!

Brain-dead and cluesless in New York..........that's Kerry.

"State of New York Under Bush: Bad for Workers and Families."

But we thought Hillary was going to solve this problem, she did make that promise??? I guess we should have asked when?

"Since Bush took office, 200,000 New Yorkers have lost jobs..."

Shouldn’t that read..."Since Hillary Clinton took office......." She was the one that promised new jobs in the state of New York. Why is the blame being put on the Bush administration? New York state taxes have a little something to do with this; I don't believe the President put a check by NY for higher taxes - Mrs. Clinton asleep at the switch again?

He'd "fight his heart out" for workers by mustering the "courage" to roll back Bush's tax cuts for business owners and local investors who make more than $200,000 a year.

Gore and Fonda in 2004

Since Hillary became a Senator makes more sense. It is not the tax relief it is anti-capitalistic legislation that eleiminates jobs. High taxes, EEOC, OSHA, Enviromental laws, Litigation, Workmans Comp, Local rules, Afirmative Action, on and on.

Let us never forget who called Paul Frey a F--king Jew Bastard.

This is a pretty good article.

New York is an economic basket case because it is the poster child for Liberalism's failed economic policies - high taxes, greedy unions, immense bureaucratic meddling, and anti-business laws. Even hillary was decrying the lousy NY jobs situation when she ran for Senator in 2000 - after 8 years of she and her husbands' misrule in the White House.

Now, the Democrats want to blame Bush on the fact NY is practically an old Soviet-style Eastern European Bloc Communist State, ossified with embedded political and social corruption, socialist laws and run by incompetent apparatchiks?

Bush didn't get NY in this position, Bush can't fix it. But, neither can the Liberals. They and their policies are the proximate cause.

To get an idea about just how idiotic these complaints about "the Bush tax cuts are bad for upstate New York" are, it helps to harken back to that scene in Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life" in which George Bailey tells his wealthy friend Sam Wainwright that he'd be better off using the vacant tool and die factory in Bedford Falls for his manufacturing facility than building a new one in Rochester.

"Half this town was thrown out of work when that place closed two years ago," George says.

That movie was set in the 1940s.

Kerry was Boring with a Capitol B last night. Edwards did not go after him and was obviously looking for the V.P. spot.

Sharpton kept saying "hold their feet (Kerry and Edwards) to the fire" admitting that they are it.

Kuchnich(sp?) kept spouting socialist ideas (govenment daycare takeover) and when moderator Larry King said that was 'Socialism', King good booed by the democratic audience. King did not focus his eyes on Kuch. when Kuch. was talking and the other candidates had distainful eyes for him.

My take on this. Kerry has the nomination sewn up (WHOPPEE!!). I give it more than 50% chance that Edwards will be his V.P. as they were buddy buddy.

Can't wait for G.W.B. to take the gloves off on this military hating liberal. Should tag Kerry as "Babykiller" John or Hanoi John. And there is not major weapons program John likes unless it came from his homestate.

He has already tagged him "For Iraq...and against Iraqi... and that's just one Senator from Massachusetts", So he can tag him as Kerrying Waffles. And for his CEO Benedict Arnold, he can call him Cash and Kerry (Hienz).

If the Clinton's don't interviene, the elections is G.W.B.s to loose, but my prayers are with G.W.B. God Bless G.W.B.!
