I really must congratulate Ruben Navarrette on the brilliant intellectual, political and cultural insights revealed in his column "Rehashing past is a tired strategy" (Wednesday).
After all, 30 years is a long, long time ago. How could such a far-distant historical era possibly have any relevance today? I think we should all just forget about Vietnam and never mention it again.
Forget about the 58,000-plus Americans who died and the tens of thousands who fought for their country. Let's forget about their wives, their parents, their siblings, their children and their grandchildren, too.
And while we're all hitting the "delete" key, let's forget about World War II, the Korean War, World War I, the Civil War and the Revolutionary War.
Dude, like they are all so way 15 minutes ago! Bummer!

If somebody can find Ruben's column, "Rehashing past is a tired strategy" (Wednesday), could you post it, or a link to it, here? I tried MySA.com, Google and DallasNews.com. Do you think they pulled it?
Have to go and put the horse up.
