Yeah, holding the decision makers responsible is just too obvious I suppose.
I wonder why it never occurs to anyone to ask: if Saddam had all these weapons for 10+ years, and the intent to use them on the U.S., just what he was waiting for?

"I wonder why it never occurs to anyone to ask: if Saddam had all these weapons for 10+ years, and the intent to use them on the U.S., just what he was waiting for?" It would have been suicide for him to use them against us. Even during Desert Storm, field commanders had tactical nuclear weapons at their disposal. Saddam knew it.
Ditto Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Any questions?

In other words, he was
deterred from attacking us. Even during the Clinton years. Ergo no threat to us.
Any questions?

After 9/11 the US grounded all air travel for all US citizens and for all foreign citizens too. The only group of people that were allowed to fly around the US and outside the US was the Saudi citizens including Osama Bin Laden's relatives. This fact was never addressed fully in the media. It illustrates that in the US Saudi relation, the US is the passive weaker partner. That is very embarrassing behavior from the world only superpower.

"Any questions?" Are you an American citizen, and if so, have you been one for very long?

Yes. You are hated in the Middle East because you are "an American." In fact, you are hated so much because of this, you would likely get your head handed to you in a basket in any of the Islamic countries simply by walking up and down the streets and telling those around you of your citizenship.
That is why we had to invade Iraq.
Case closed.

Nice way to change the subject. BTW I don't suppose it occurred to you to wonder
why they hate us.
The fact that some citizens of some Islamic countries hate Americans does not even come close to being a legitimate casus belli.
Case closed? Nah. But your eagerness to stop the discussion speaks volumes.
