Affair's a lie, she says (Much old, some new)

Columbia grad denies romantic link to Kerry

(Skipping the old and cutting straight to the new...)

Alexandra Polier's only known ties to Kerry are through a top aide, campaign finance director Peter Maroney.

A Columbia University classmate of Polier told The News that Maroney introduced her to Kerry in 2001 at an economic summit in Switzerland. "She met with [Kerry] again when the forum came to New York in 2002," the classmate said.

Maroney could not be reached for comment yesterday.

A Republican political strategist said Kerry has not been hurt by the fallout. "It looks like it's going away," he said.

But a strategist from a rival Democratic campaign warned Kerry was not safe yet if it turns out he lied. "Bill Clinton had the charm to wiggle out of those attacks. Kerry simply doesn't have that going for him," the strategist said.

'I have never had a relationship with Sen. Kerry.' Alexandra Polier

John Kerry tries to stay above the fray on campaign stop in Wausau, Wis., after rumored affair was refuted.

Anyone have any background info on Peter Maroney? Is he gay?

A sham relationship as a cover for whatever's really going on. Usually used to refer to a gay man escorting a woman around as a way of acting straight, a masculinizing "beard."

Here's what I've found via a google search thus far:

Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.: Robert Farmer, 64, Clinton's 1992 treasurer and a longtime Kerry financial backer, is running Kerry's fundraising operation. Farmer, the openly gay Clinton administration ambassador to Bermuda who splits his time between Boston and Miami Beach, worked for John Glenn in ‘84, was Mike Dukakis' chief fundraiser in '88 and DNC treasurer after that. Longtime Kerry fundraiser Peter Maroney, who used to work for former Rep. Joseph Kennedy, is working with Farmer. Maroney was finance director for Kerry's PAC from 1999 until the presidential campaign officially started. Of course, the big question persists: Could John Kerry's real money person be his wife, ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz Kerry?

Maroney could not be reached for comment yesterday.

I thin we can safely say we will NEVER be able to reach Maroney for comment.

Could be a variation on that theme, a gay shill used to cover Kerry. About the only thing I've found on Peter maroney is that he is a protege of Terry McAulliff, which makes any sort of dirty deed likely.

Is it normal for Senator Kerry to personally call women at home and offer them jobs on his campaign staff?

Or is Alex's father now denying that it happened?

The girl dates Kerry ... but, when asked, it is claimed that someone close to Kerry is actually dating her.

I find it hard to believe that the Miss Piggy in the pic above is the same as the lower left babe in the group intern photo that PJ-Comix has been peddling!

1. Mr. Polier thinks Kerry is a sleazeball
'This won't go away. What happened is much nastier than is being reported', By Adrian Blomfeld in Nairobi and Andrew Alderson
Miss Polier's parents, Terry and Donna, from Malvern, Pennsylvania, added fuel to the fire by claiming that Mr Kerry did pursue their daughter.

"I think he's a sleazeball. I did wonder if she didn't get that feeling herself," said Mr Polier. "He's not the sort of guy I'd choose to be with my daughter.

2. Mr. Polier intends to vote for Kerry.
From the NYT
The Poliers, of Malvern, Pa., added that they intended to vote for Mr. Kerry for president.
3. Sign for Polier's parents to put in front yard

In these elite circles, tracks are covered very well, but leaks still can occur.

What I wanna know is who started the rumor that this girl is pretty?

On another note: Tony Snow says there is a whisper campaing on about Kerry within the Rat party. Second thoughts about his ability to beat Bush.

My wizened old father-in-law still maintains that Edwards will be the nominee. I believe he is the more formidable candidate. Let us hope the Rats keep their heads where the sun don't shine for a couple more primaries.

IF Edwards in the candidate I believe our only hope is he picks hitlery as his VP. That should sink him. Unfortuneately he seems too smart for that one.

That was my first reaction, but on further review she still looks pretty good. Unflattering lighting and angle.

If Bush just gets a break on the employment numbers the Rats don't have anyone who can beat him. If the numbers go in the tank, I don't know.

Sort of like being a protege of Jack the Ripper, yes.
