Politicians are loath to admit it when they make a mistake. So Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger deserves credit for reversing course on prisons. With the scandals in corrections mushrooming, the governor moved late last week to restore funding and independence for the Office of the Inspector General, the watchdog agency that he had originally planned to place under the thumb of the troubled Youth and Adult Correctional Agency it was supposed to oversee.

If they urine tested the inmate and prison guard populations, the results might vey interesting.
Come to think of it, Add in the legislators and judges of this state to the same testing.
