Well, now that Dean has self-destructed, and Kerry is well on the way to the nomination, is it even worth it, voting in the Democratic Primary on Tuesday ??
If so, who for ? Dean's no longer a factor, Edwards is as slimy as Kerry, if not more. . . is this the time to go back to the old plan of voting for Reverend Al for sheer comic value ????

I still want to see this as a two-horse (or would that be a two-jackass) race and I think I'll vote for Dean :-)

I thought about that. That would be freaking hilarious. I can see the graphs on CNN now:
Kerry-32%
Edwards-27%
Bush-15%
Clark-13%
Dean-11%
Sharpton-1%
Kucinich-1%
I would piss myself if that happened in a Dem primary write in.

With me it would be a toss up between Dr. Demento and the Revvvvvvrand Al. However, at this time in my life I am severely Democrap challenged and unable to pull the lever.
To compensate for this shortcoming and as part of my rehab efforts, I will be participating in a "Support Our Troops/Support Our President Rally" with another FReeper and a couple of TownHall.com Folks this Saturday at 6 p.m. in front of the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Coincidentally, the VA Dems are having their Jefferson/Jackson Day dinner down there at the same time with four of their sad candidates in attendance. Imagine that!

Now that would be hilarious. I think I'll tell a few friends to do that.

Why not vote for Dubya in the Dem primary? If there's some support for it I'll do it, otherwise I'm doing my duty as a white devil and pulling the lever for the Rev'rin'!

I'm thinking we oughtta vote fer Edwards just to hopefully draw out the primary another week or so, thereby draining a few more bucks from Kerry.

Howard Dean, unless he has formally withdrawn!!! (And he plans to stay on thru the Wisconsin primary on the 17th.) I've already put together a small conservative coterie that plans to vote for the Demented One!

"Why not vote for Dubya in the Dem primary?"Hank, I'm certain write-ins for Dubyuh will be ignored by the media and not counted or reported. In '02 a lot of us wrote in "Ollie North" for Senate rather than holding our noses and voting for Big Jawn. Nary a word of the North vote was ever reported.
Let's do what we can to resurrect Dean! See iceskater's reasoning above.

GEEZE LOUISE! I just saw my first Kerry ad this evening. They are playing the war hero card to the hilt.
I began to imagine one of those ads followed by one about his post-war-stab-my-fellow-soldiers-in-the-back activities. Now that would be sweet.
To: sultan88; Mudboy Slim
You both make good points. Sultan, resurrecting Dean's candidacy is a good idea, because it forces Kerry further to the left (as if that's possible) and keeps him from acting centrist during the primaries; plus, the Deaniacs are liable to sit out the November election if the eventual nominee says bad things about their pseudo-messiah.
But Mud makes the point of supporting Edwards because he's more viable. Edwards seems to have the best chance of extending the nomination fight and draining Ketchup Boy of his money. Edwards is an empty suit, but as a VP candidate he would help reel in the soccer mom crowd.
What to do, what to do?...If we could just get a quarter of the states' Republicans and non-registered conservatives such as myself into the Dem polling booths, Sharpton could pull this out! Wouldn't you just love to see his huckster face all over the Boston convention? Wouldn't he just make a swell VP running mate? He'd be deadlier to their ticket than Hitlery! But, you all have convinced me, it should either be Dean or Edwards...
To: Salgak
Just can't bring myself to vote in the dim primary, tho' it is tempting to vote for Rev Al. I'd worry about giving Edwards more steam, he could be tougher than Kerry - seems pretty good at selling himself as a moderate, even tho' he votes like Kennedy.
Might go down to Richmond for the anti-tax rally instead. (

I have thought long and hard about this...planned to vote for Nikita Dean until he self-destructed.
Discussed this with a friend and we decided we wanted to keep as much contention and conflict between the Dem candidates...as long as possible.
So I plan to hold my nose and vote for Wes Clark on Tuesday.
Remember...there is NO PARTY REGISTRATION in VA (thanks to Democrats blocking bills on this every year)...so EVERYBODY can and should vote this coming Tuesday in the Dem. Primary.

Checking in from rainy, snowy Fauquier county here
My hubby and I are voting for Dean. We WANT him in the race as long as possible so that he can bruise and batter Kerry all he wants. A weaker Kerry helps us down the road.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it.
To: meandog
I'm votin' fer Fat Albert. If you hear a manic giggle or perhaps some lunatic cackling in NoVa, that'd be yers truly, pushin' the button fer da Rev'hrund Al.
Muwhahahahahaha!

Any freepers eligible in upcoming primaries should vote for Edwards or Dean... we want Kerry to limp to the nomination, battered and broke.
