Immigration control must become the deciding issue in the 2004 race. Something _must_ be done.

This is a depressing read. Steve Mosher, a China scholar, Catholic gentleman, and righteous crusader against the atrocity of abortion, wrote of the struggle to establish this refugee category over a decade ago in his moving book, "A Mother's Ordeal: One Woman's Fight Against China's One Child Policy." The "one child policy" of China is one of the most egregious policies of that criminal regime. I certainly wouldn't quarrel with the rationale behind the refugee category Papa Bush established.

But now we see just how the immigration industry and crafty would-be immigrants have cynically and fraudulently exploited this program to simply add to our unending inflow of ever less assimilable numbers of immigrants. More proof that not only illegal immigration needs to be brought under stringent control, but even legal immigration needs to be drastically reduced.

I wonder how many of these "refugees" are actually Chinese agents.

"I certainly wouldn't quarrel with the rationale behind the refugee category Papa Bush established."

Why should we be the ones to take care of this? How about telling the UN, Britain, France and other bleeding heart countries to take care of it?

President George W. Bush seeks to use immigration law as a political tool, mapping out exactly how an alien can gain legal entry to the U.S. It is for just that reason that our country remains the world’s foremost destination for the illegal immigrant.

Not a whole lot different than Clinton-Gore.

The only differance being is that this will backfire on a Republican president since most immigrants vote democratic.

Whether it's a Republican's "compassionate conservatism" or a Democrat's "reaching out to those in need", we're the ones left to deal with the repercussions.
Hey waiter, wasn't this "duck" peeing on a fire hydrant a few hours ago?
