Grassfire.org has a new, anti-MoveOn.Org Ad that looks REALLY cool! (a must-watch!)

For years, liberals have accused conservatives of "hate speech." But at the same time, many on the Left have often blasted Republicans and conservatives as Nazis.

Now, two controversial online ads comparing President Bush to Adolph Hitler have led to heavy criticism - including criticism from Jewish groups.

The two 30-second ads appeared in a contest sponsored by the liberal online website, www. moveon.org. Moveon invited members to submit spots criticizing President Bush's record. Moveon was founded in 1998 to oppose the impeachment of President Clinton, and now claims 1.7 million members, bashing President Bush and pushing liberal causes. Two of the submissions compared Mr. Bush to the Nazi dictator of Germany.

Jewish groups were apoplectic. The Simon Wiesenthal Center sharply criticized moveon.org, saying "comparing the Bush Administration's fight against Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein with the policies of Adolf Hitler is shameful, beyond the pale, and has no place in the legitimate discourse of American politics..." (Rabbi Marvin Hier)

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today called moveon.org's decision to display the ad "shocking." The American Jewish Congress called it "morally outrageous."

Moveon.org's posted rules for the contest said it would not "post anything that would be inappropriate for television." And the website admitted to the New York Times that the advertisements were "in poor taste," and that it "deeply regretted" that they had, "slipped through."

Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie has called upon the nine Democratic presidential contenders to renounce the ad, which he called "the worst and most vile form of political hate speech."

Conservative critics have long been saying that liberal hate speech is a rising trend - one that has been overlooked by the media. They complain that the Left now routinely compares Republicans to Nazis, and they're getting away with it. But the spotlight may finally be starting to shine on some of the more outrageous statements of the Left.

A site called grassfire.org makes all kinds of neat, Anti-MoveOn.Org commercials.

One more thing to recall is that it was Saddam Hussein who expelled the Jews from their multi-millenial long settlement in Mesopotamia.

George Bush by capturing Saddam and occupying Iraq has actually made it possible for Iraqi Jews to visit their former homes and maybe even resettle there!

Moveon.org's advertisements that praised Saddam and condemned Bush certainly could be taken by anyone knowledgeable of Jewish history to be profoundly anti-semitic.

Presumably Moveon.org's folks knew this. Now, if we can just figure out why George Soro's hates Iraqi Jews so much?~~~!!!!?

Unfortunately, I have to say Grassfire.org's ad isn't very impressive. I would think that critcizing MoveOn would be trivial, honestly, but they managed to fail here...

I would think tying Saddam to Hitler, and then the MoveOn types to pro-Saddam rallies would be a better way to go, or heck, focus on MoveOn's sugar-daddy Soros.

Using the term "right minded Americans" is specifically a bad choice, btw, as leftists have demonized the term pretty thoroughly. I would have gone with normal, regular, average, etc Americans instead.

While I appreciate the effort, I have to agree here: not impressive.

Yeah, Grassfire's wasn't extremely impressive, but it was a good try.

Doesn't matter to me what kind of ads MoveOn puts out, I wouldn't ever even consider supporting a group who didn't oppose impeaching Clinton.

i mean, there were some DEMOCRATS who supported impeaching Clinton. He was a bad rep of their party.

I believe they were going for correct-minded, not ideologically-right-minded...that's what it sounded like to me at least.

but yeah, not real impressive.
