Do you think it took the same level of organization to stage four simultaneous hijackings on September 11 as it would have taken to stage a single hijacking?

If you think it doesn't take additional skills and resources to carry out simultaneous attacks then you are either a) not thinking it through; b) in denial; or c) unable to grasp the concept.

That's not what we're talking about. I refer you, for your convenience, to the title of this thread.

And I refer you, for your convenience, to your comment in post #82.

Multiple simultaneous attacks are an AlQ trademark. They pride themselve on it, as if it's some kind of feat.

This is the comment to which I have been referring, which is why I quoted it in post #93.

Fine, whatever. So let's go back to your #124, since you're obviously fixated on the idea, let's debunk it:

Do you think it took the same level of organization to stage four simultaneous hijackings on September 11 as it would have taken to stage a single hijacking?

If you think it doesn't take additional skills and resources to carry out simultaneous attacks then you are either a) not thinking it through; b) in denial; or c) unable to grasp the concept.

In a word, wrong.

The 9/11 attacks all happened on the same morning. They were definitely not "simultaneous", unless you're going to claim that "they all happened on the morning of September 11th" means "simultaneous".

If this was ballet -- or even the high trapeze under the bigtop -- you'd have idiots spatting themselves on the ground until they ran out of idiots. "Idiot A" leaps, waiting to be caught by "Idiot B". "Idiot B", meanwhile, is arguing with the desk clerk about his bill for room service and pay-per-view pornography.

Oops.

But, they all do manage to "go to work" on the same day, so it's "simultaneous"?

No, I don't think so.

This is hardly the type of "stopwatch precision" that I asserted could be carried out by two morons with power belts, wristwatches, and a dream of dead virgins.

How much skill and resourcefullness does it take for a large number of morons to carry out several attacks on the same morning? Well, they'd all need to own a calendar. And, they'd need to be able to distinguish "AM" from "PM". Besides, that, I don't see there being anything needed beyond the "skills" and "resources" necessary to carry out one murderous suicide attack.

Face it. This evil scales by n x evil. There's nothing exponential about it. It's a straight line increase. You want three times the amount of evil? Then throw three times the amount of evil meat at it. Not thirty times, not three million times more, just three, that's all.

Just make sure you give them all calendars, and a sundial, and you're set. And if you do want "stopwatch precision", you're going to have to settle for low-forehead types with wristwatches (or cell phones, as the other poster pointed out), climbing on busses, or driving up to buildings.

That relates to "precision military actions" the same way that a Pentium 4 CPU compares to a galena crystal and a "cat's whisker".

Yeah, they're both "semiconductor devices", but I wouldn't go pressing that as proof of equivalence.
